    And it's not 100% in the bag yet... Am I right in saying the slower the front takes to aproach the better for costal areas as it will give a more time to turn the rain into snow. I notice on the forcasts on tv they are now saying the front may not even make it as far as bristol. Is it possible that it may not make it as far as cardiff and newport?? cheers guys

    Can anyone with a good working knowledge of synoptics address the point above, I just cant see how this can deliver snow at sea level

    Please can someone explain how we can possibly get anything else but rain tomorrow. 850 temeratures look to be close to - 3 at best giving surface temps of around 4 C dew points look to be around 0 C and the source of the air is mild atlantic dross. What am I missing here??? I can appreciate that the black mountains and beacons will get a pasting but I really cant see anything but cold rain for costal areas. What is the missing ingredient that will hopefully deliver all this snow??

    depends what happens when it hits the britol channel could intensify or die out hoping for the first option, next hour will be interesting

    I recon 1 pm for mid glam but you may be right. What makes me laugh is this is what was predicted for last night and the beeb knew it was not going to arrive and yet tonight when there are reports along the m4 coridoor nothing is mentioned. Hope we at least get a dusting from this before the big one on tuesday

    Forcaster on bbc radio wales mentioned a snow streamer forming from kent along the m4 coridor tonight what is a snow streamer??? cheers Guys

    pickin up a little here in bridgend still nothing on any of the radar output

    quite a few radar echos appearing to our east now, fully expect these to become quite extensive throughout the morning

    hint of fine grains falling in bridgend barely noticible nothing on radar, i think these are just materialising out of nothing, if that is possible???

    Where did you get that from??? forcaster earlier on bbc wales on the radio just now has said that costal areas of south wales including newport, cardiff and swansea will only see a sleet/rain mix tomorrow and moday followed by heavy rain Tuesday, Would welcome comments on this as was expecting at least a dusting here in Bridgend confused or what???

    Can somebody with a bit of weather knowledge explain this to me. All the winds for the next 48 hours appear to be from the north east. All the precipiation on the radar is moving down from the north east, so why do the bbc keep talking about precipitation heading north west??? ahhhh.....

    amazing difference between sky weather and bbc sky forcasting several inches across south wales starting 9 pm tonight bbc appear to be showing nothing

    Forcast on bbc radio wales jus said it looks like most south wales costal areas including cardiff newport swansea will missout as the precipitation is forcast to head north west. Hope this is not true as I was expecting at least a dusting here in Bridgend, but it does tie in with what is being shown on N24 with morth and mid wales getting all the snow any thoughts guys

    Really surprised they are not making more of this on news 24 as it looks the most intense band of prcipitation around and London seems to be missing a lot of the snow at the mo. How long do you thing this band can continue in south wales coz it looks like it is concontinually being fed from hampshire

    Cant go to bed yet may never see the likes of this again once in thirty years they are saying (not sure I belive that though) but at 44 I would be 74!!! I think I will stay up and hope there will be too much snow to stop me goinf to work tomorrow
