A very true and sad tale that rears its ugly head every year. I think its sad that this occurs as firstly it shows that neigbours are just not being neighbours these days and checking up on the elderly in their community. People are too busy wrapped up in their own lives to consider others through periods of incliment weather
Another area that down right bothers me is the government and their blatant lack of concern, or so it appears. They would gladly take in an 'illegal' immigrant, home it, give it money for food and clothes and even cars, and yet 3 elderly British citizens die every day throughout the winter. So much for 'Your country needs you!'
Look out for your neighbours this year people. You could just save a life

I think she will reach Cat 3 again, there is more energy available in the Gulf than peeps are giving notice to. Dont count Wilma out yet, I have a feeling she is going to be stronger on FL landfall than some think.
I am sticking to my previous track thoughts, Ten Thousand Islands > Overland FL > West Palm Beach.

I think that there are going to be more problems with tornadoes with Wilma than usual hurricanes as a cold front is moving into northern florida and the likelyhood is there could be many more outbreaks of tornadoes....just another thing to add in to the equation for the poor guys down there
The good thing is the steering mechanism will be more powerful by the time Wilma hits the gulf and therefore will wisk it over Florida and out in to Atlantic within 1 day, unlike in Mexico where it has near stalled.

Hi guys
Well here in Canada the 'experts' are predicting a winter milder than those in a while so not sure what effect that has on the UK with relation to weather systems etc
Hopefully it is good news for you guys

It was like last christmas when I went up to scotland and woke up to the same thing on xmas day.
The pic is the creek at the back of my house. I only moved here a few months ago but I am definately pleased with the decision. Not sure I will be saying that in January when its -30oC though :-)
