Trouble with these storms that come over from europe,, 1st they come france, and these storms behave fantastic for them,, then they hit our beloved english channel and its 50/50 if they stay active. But the moment they hit our shores they fade and decay.
Been like that for quiet awhile lately. cant put my finger on why its like that now.
Anyway im off to work and hopefully see some homebrews later maybe!

Had quite a lot of lightning and thunder last night, had a close bolt that woke a majority of my sun loving neighbours up which made my morning about 3:30am.
Welcome to my weather suckers (was the nasty quote going through my head!)
All still moaning as i type... Because its still tipping it down!
So quite... no kids screaming, just the sound of the rain and dripping gutters.

Sadly temp fractionally above freezing and the odd snizzle.
My little scottie loves it, completely energises him!

Got about 3-4cm now compared to the 0.5 this morning when i awoke and popped out... looking good.

well you know its snowing heavily when the salt i put down yesterday for my path gets covered already... absolutely teaming down now... Train sparks are fantastic though.. very pink!!

Ok worked yesterday afternoon at my lovely station, and at 7pm an announcement was made that all trains were to be cancelled from 9pm due to 3rd rail icing (oh the sparks were fantastic!), my last train came through at 21:10. I was told to lock my station up (shutters down etc.) and to hang about for night security till I headed home (was no problem getting home bus service ran fantastic).
So why are you telling us this? I hear you!
Well I've never ever done that in my lifetime at any stations I've worked at in the rail industry! 2018, never happened, 2010 never happened, Trains ran ok (carefully and slower.)
But I'm reading the news this morning and every article that's involved with this cold spell is saying "This isn't as bad as the beast from the east 2018"
Well it could be.. never shut a station before due to icing and trains getting stuck in Dartford And Sevenoaks, and its the same situation this morning! Loads of cancelled services..
And they are also thinking of ending the service earlier again tonight.
So do you reckon this is on par or worse then 2018... I'm starting to think that,, but IL make my mind up by Friday.

I Remember 2010/and 91.. snow was more widespread overnight then the day, something to do with temperature difference between sea and land... correct me if im wrong

Darcy got held up in customs with humungous amounts of paper work and has decided to look as though she will only bury Kent in her fuming state (cant blame her), oh and all that forecasting stuff from yesterdays chat has gone completely belly up as per usual.
Ie-: all models cant predict the weather when its coming from the other way!
