That was one nasty squall that just went through.
Hail at the beginning,, then the rain (horizontal almost),, Then the flash flash boom boom (basil brush).
At one point it was so windy i thought a tornado was possibly dropping <_<
Great stuff.
I was a bit worried just before and during the weekend with the windy spell we had, cause most of the trees around here were still in full leaf. But alas the storm soon took care of that and now most are bald as the top of my barnet B) Mind you there are daffs poking up again.
Blimey if all this became reality few ive picked up on
Bad
1. A lot of very (over weight) lazy people
2. A very high personal insurance policy
3. A lot of very annoyed people. ie:- mother in law appears at foot of bed while you are enjoying close relationship with your partner
Good
1. emergency team instantly at scene of accident. Then you transported straight to hospital
2. order something on internet.. Appears instantly on table behind you
3. No more cars.. its now just a sport
Whats the brisbane forcast for monday? As ive got some family moving to brisbane arriving on monday 6th november?
Not to be nasty or anything, but my aunt hates thunderstorms so hoping she gets a very nasty arrival
hmmm -14 thats nothing compared to the overnight tempertures of the 80s that we used to have..
Who remembers waking up to goto skool with frosted windows to look out from? And black ice everywhere to skid all the way to skool on? I did, and that was down this end of the country.
Anyway if we do reach -14.. Probable headline would be "BRITAIN IN ICE AGE"
Dont read the papers anymore, Got internet todo that
Ive noticed also the trees have'nt turned brown much either  .
I remember being a kid just before halloween and bonfire night i was kicking piles of leaves around trying to find the conkers buried in the piles of leaves on the way to school
Actually we had a repeat down here in 91 but not as cold.. but i remember it snowing all day tho  .. cant remember the actuall date  But the actual dates that we all want it to snow on is xmas eve and xmas day, for me that would just bring a huge sparkle into xmas
Well i dJayed last night down the road from me while all this fantastic weather hit. Did pop out during the session to watch the lightning. And can count 2 storms hit while i was working, which is a damn pity.. cause it looked liked i missed a good show.
Didnt we get the type of scenerio again in october?
Cause i swear ive got footage of the storm hitting my area (30mins worth) on an old vhs tape somewhere (Huge Vid camera it was) followed by the news bullitins of flooding in lewisham and weather update of the storms tracking north.
Got to look for it tho and blow the dust off... if ive still got it
Ahhh wot a loving uncle
Anyway went for JC's pick because its just did it for me.
Soz but when i get the calender im gonna cut that out and frame it on its own.
Yep been there done it.. 1981 i think. I was in new york on a cold sleety day with my skool party and of course we went up to the top of the empire state building and to be greeted by an almost full blown blizzard. Great it was having a snowball fight up there (surprised they let us out up there actually) couldnt see much of the view due to the visability. After bout 30mins came back down to the same sleety scene. Just wondering if the canary wharf tower at 244 metres could have the same effect?
2 storms to report
First about 3:30am in heavy rain a few flashes and the thunder woke me up but could just not be arsed to get out of bed to report (you know how it feels when rudely woken up) .. didnt last long anyway.
2nd one happening as i type 2 flashes so far in this downpour with long rolling thunder.
