Isn't it supposed to be very mild on Sunday? If it can't manage to snow today, there's not a snowball in Hell's chance that it will snow at the weekend, lol!

Wet morning 6.1c. No way is it going to snow, even later tonight.
-
So it seems that the East will get all the 'fun' next week. Yes, I suppose we in the 'West' are downbeat. Wasn't it only a few days ago that there might have been a massive dumping in central/South England? Hope the snow takes us all by surprise. If it ever arrives at all...

Been windy all night. Hardly slept a wink! The winds do seem to be getting worse, but at least there is no school run today.
-
The SSW is the slowest awaited event in history! They should re-name it OMGWYHU!
-
At least this winter has not been as boring as 2005. Weeks and weeks of cold, sunny weather and no storms or flakes of snow. It has certainly kept us 'entertained' one way or another.
-
March coming in like a LION! and hopefuly going out like a Lamb with really lovely warm
weather for the Easter holidays

Lots of snow here, settling on cars and grass, big floaty flakes. Temp has been all over the place
since last night. It was 3.9c when I went to bed at 11.30pm, then I woke at 4am it was 2.5c, then
when I got up at 7am it was 1.2c and the snow symbol was showing and now at almost 10am it's 0.8c
At least it's not settling on the roads
-
A good 2 inches here tonight, still very light snow falling. Been out to make a snowman in the
back garden, kids said it was too wet and cold Temp has now gone up 1.2c, might be tricky in
the morning if all this freezes.
-
Got some more heavy snow and the temp has actualy dropped again from 1.4c to 0.8c. I've got to out
in it at 4pm and there are hills all the way, might not get to where I want. Maybe I could use my
snowsocks for the car that have been stuck in the boot since last year
-
Just non stop rain here in Yate I haven't even seen any sleet what so ever, real shame I wanted to see some more snow for one last time and then start looking forward to spring..
That's strange, here it is snowing really hard and Tortworth hill has Qs of traffic and the police hade
been directing the flow of traffic.
Come down the road towards Rangeworthy and you'll soon start to see the white stuff
-
Cars and grass going white, coming down really heavily. The roads have a thick layer of slush.
Very interesting day coming up, better do my shopping now methinks
-
Big fat flakes coming down quite heavily now and the temp has dropped from 2.1c to 1.6c in about
half and hour
-
Just started to rain here with large bits of sleet, temp is 2.1c. The main action is supposed to
be this afternoon and evening anyway
-
Well at least, if it does get snowy next weekend, most parents won't have to worry about getting
their kids to school as it will be half-term from 15th-22nd Feb.
-
Ian Ferguson on the local news this morning said it would just be a 'snap'. I thought he would have
said 'cold spell' if it's going to last all week. But maybe not in the south west
-
Sureal scene outside at the moment. Big snow shower has just been through, still lots of flakes in the
air and the full moon is out and everything is glowing white . Temp 1.3c dropped from 2.1c
just before the shower.

Would love a spring like 2003, that was really lovely and warm quite early on. Been pottering in the
garden today and just want to tidy everything up. The daffs are starting to poke up now
-
Ecm is pretty much like UKMO at +144 , but it still only makes it a brief Northerly with height's just not making it into Greenland. I am currently thinking A majour block will form over Greenland on the second week of Feb though as I have jsut been speaking to some experts on Facebook Not allowed to give any more details im afraid
Sounds very interesting, do tell more

Why would the Daily Express even waste ink on this non-story? One guy says it will be cold, the other
says it will be mild. Let the battle commence
-
Coming down really thick and heavy here and settling on the roads! Wonder if the school will be
open?
-
Missing the glow of the snow already  So warm today, had the windows open and even did some
spring cleaning. Just got to get a mild February out of the way and hopefully March will come in
like a lion and go out like a lamb with some good spring warmth
-
I love the anticipation of waiting for snow to fall. Seing those dark grey clouds in the distance
during the day, or the orange glow at night. The first snowfall when everything gets covered and
willing it to carry on all day and night if possible!
The the first couple of days are great but once a thaw sets in, I just want it to go overnight so
we start with a new green canvas.
Also I've noticed that the local kids are fed up of snow after about 4 days, there's only so much
sledging that you can do

Dartmoor Matt, your snow will stick around for some time yet, by April you'll be sick of it

In days gone by, the fact that the South of England is missing out on snow would be seen as a blessing! Maybe it's all the old folk praying very hard for a mild winter?
Or more likely, we are very, very lucky.
Luck doesn't last...
