    Afternoon update from Aberdeen. Another three or four prolonged snow events (too big to be called showers). About 6 inches/17cm of snow lying on the ground.

    Just had an hour and a half of non stop snow in Aberdeen. There is now 15 CM/6 Inches lying on the ground. And that is in the city, can only guess what it ill be in outlying areas.

    More snow overnight in Aberdeen. Now a staggering 12 CM lying in the garden. Which means about 4-5cm fell overnight. And more snow as I type this.

    Blizzard has just hit Aberdeen. Can bearly see the end of the street. Again, check aberdeen city council website for webcam.

    Another 3 or 4 snow showers in Aberdeen. Not as heavy as this morning but there is now about 6cm lying.

    At least another 4 heavy snow showers in Aberdeen this morning. There is now 5 cm lying snow on the ground and causing traffic chaos.

    More snow overnight in Aberdeen. About 2-3cm lying on the ground now. And starting to snow again as I speak.

    Another snow shower in Aberdeen. Grass slowly turning white.

    In the last fifteen minutes, it has started snowing in Aberdeen. It went all dark (in the space of five minutes), started as rain, turned to sleet and is now heavy snow.

    Had snow overnight in Aberdeen with about 1cm lying by morning. Another four or so showers during this morning although most of the snow has melted now.

    Snowing again in Aberdeen, ground is now (as good as) completely white.

    In Aberdeen, we've now had at least 3 proper snow showers today. The ground is partially dusted and there is probably more on the way.

    Another snow shower in Aberdeen just now as well as a hail/sleet shower earlier on. There is now about 4-5cm lying. And not a sign of a council gritter to be seen anywhere.

    Aberdeen got its first proper snow overnight. There is 3cm lying. As I speak, we are having another prolonged snow shower. Finally, the cold snap has hit Aberdeen.

    Just had another brief sleet/fail shower in Aberdeen. This cold snap is not living up to expectations up here.

    Earlier this morning in Aberdeen we had a hail shower and now as I speak, there is a sleet/hail shower. So winter coming our way then as well.

    Another two decent snow showers during the day in Aberdeen. Unfortunate that the cold snap will end tomorrow.
