I said that I wouldn’t get suckered in by it ever again, BUTit is looking good this morning. My nerves are starting to get frazzled again. Hope springs eternal and all that……. PS I love The Chase!

I agree. I feel silly for having fallen for it yet again.

But we were to have ice days and blizzards, even in our neck of the woods. The Met Office outlooks were full of wintry delights. All we have now is a few measly frosts. As far as I am concerned, this is the biggest and dampest meteorological squib that I have seen in nearly 20 years on this forum. The only positive that I can take from this monstrous episode is a lesson about not believing anything until it happens!

Yes, I will always keep coming back for more too, despite my earlier tantrum!

“’Bleak” is the word! Not quite the sort of “bleak midwinter” that I was hoping for! I am in a really moany mood……. Perhaps I should set up camp in this thread.

But I am in a moany mood……….

Was there? Maybe my memory is going (!) but I cannot recall having felt as disappointed in a weather outcome as I do now! Perhaps I shouldn’t let it get to me! I have dealt with far worse things than disappointing weather, but I was looking forward to a nice lot of snow….

I have been on here for nearly 20 years, although I don’t post much. This has to be the biggest let-down I have ever seen. Nor have I been able to get any sense from the MAD thread - the same runs have some people saying that there will be lots of snow and some people saying it will be dry. I have decided that I will refer to the Met office forecasts if I want any sense. I am really peed off with how I have allowed myself to be put through all this. NEVER AGAIN!

Went to Chipping Sodbury this morning and decided to come home via Old Sodbury and along the A46. It is still beautifully snowy up there, the fields are still white, but then it is so much higher up. There was also quite a foggy area between, say, Tormarton and James Dyson’s place. Nice to get out and see it all!
