  1. Storm Francis has now moved away to leave a much calmer day today. Another less fierce low arrives tomorrow, bringing heavy rain and showers which will last into Friday. High pressure will settle the weather down in time for the (long) weekend though. Read the full update here

  24. Here we go then, after a week of talking about the heat, it arrives today. 35-37c is likely in the southeast today, with highs peaking well into the mid-thirties each day through the weekend and right into next week. Read the full update here
