Every time I look at the Met office app it keeps going from heavy snow to light snow
At least you still have snow. My area now seem to have dry spells in, originally was heavy and light snow!

The sleet bit is a joke Stow yes. I really much hope so otherwise I am going to be really broken hearted . Where about are you? I am right near where the old police station used to be on Forest Road. I think we should be ok it's just the nerves kicking in before the event these last countdown hours before the event seem to feel like days. We are nearly there I just hope that amber warning is extended , but deep inside I feel we will do ok in Walthamstow but you always have that doubt till it happens Keep me updated
A couple of weeks back when we were suppose to have a couple of cm was a non event for me and Epping was the saviour for both myself and children's high hopes.
I am around the corner from Central Station although thinking of making my way up forest Road to the Doughnut in hope of better coverage and to use a new sledge!

Hi peeps
Hope everyone is well and safe, been a busy day so bit late to the party. Was a nice day here in Walthamstow today you would have believed spring was here that's till this evening when we had a few heavy showers come over.
Anyway just saw the extended BBC forcast and peeps it looks as if the Southeast is going to get hammered. Starting tomorrow night in the late early hours the snow starts piling in and this is heavy snow the presenter was saying. This snow keeps on coming all day Sunday all the way to Monday. She even said come Monday there could be another area of heavy persistent snow. Tuesday looked dryer but might stay freezing all day. Then Wednesday looked like the snow showers return. It's only by the end of the week we see the southwesterlies come in.
This is really beginning to look like something even I was in two minds before but I am feeling lot optimistic now. Also from the forcast looks as if the more east you are the better you will do.
Perps we got just tomorrow to get through aproimately 30 hours and counting down fingers crossed hopefully us starved of snow here will finally get what we have been waiting for.
Stay safe all
How well do you think we will do in Stow on Sunday?

MetOffice has taken away the double snow symbols for Sunday and even has a period of sleet between the snow!?

Horrible UHI effect over Greater London though, as ever.
I do hope Londoners get out to Epping Forest and similar where totals will be 2-3x that in Zones 1 & 2.
Based in Walthamstow however during the last 'snow' event here I managed to get to Epping where there around an inch of snow.
Not to sure how safe it will be to travel up to Epping this time round though!

Nice to see the snow falling in Walthamstow however sadly it never really settled on the roads. Sleeting now...

The official warnings haven’t been updated. I think PS is talking about his location forecast.
Sorry maybe a generalisation. I checked Harrow Weald, Chingford, Walthamstow, Epping and Rotherhithe and they seem to have some what of a downgrade...
Looks like they have just upgraded Epping...
Think they are changing every 10/15mins

Met Office has downgraded the length and intensity of snowfall in North/North East London...
