Is around 11am the right time still to expect snow for north east London?
-
No worries at all mate.....be fine. ESE Wind bringing those temps down nicely........Even Isle of Wight seeing snow now so ours will be all snow............Latest BBC Forecast excellent . Snow again Sat and Sunday too!
Excellent!!
Are we expecting pretty much light through out the long spell or any heavy periods as well?
-
Current temp
Current Temp 0°C
Our conditions better for snow now or still a slight worry?
-
-0.4 here. Between 11pm and now its dropped from +0.6
-
The most recent MO forecast said the snow for the east/south east will be dry snow! Not good for making snow balls...
-
Were dropping....0 temp dewpoint -2......
Confident with se winds overnight temps will be low...all snow tmw for London
Hope you are right mate.
Dropped from 2c to 0.6 and then in the last 45mins crept up to 0.8 and now currently at 0.7
Hopefully by midnight it will be below -1

What's the temperature like near canary wharf?
-
Hi,
Its 0c (zero), it has been slow falling back from 1.5c later this afternoon.
Are we now starting to fear rain at first then snow?
Was +0.6 here 30mins back but now +0.8c

For North east and east Londoners - what's your current temps?
-
are temps going down in the london area for anyone?
Just went down to +1c after the last 2hrs stuck at +2c

Should some of us Londoners be worried the fact the temperatures are still high today?
Currently at +2c and during today got as high as +3.7+
-
-
Temps here now +3.0c where as at 7am it was -4.1
-
Is there some trolling going on on here?
No Downgrades
Upgrades if anything
North and west London to get hit very hard
At least 10 cm from Reading in the west to Southend in the East!!!
Hows north east of London for snow for tomorrow and Sat?
-
Has the MO got my area wrong? It says from 12pm on Friday until Sunday 3am continuous light snow and around 6-9hrs of heavy snow on Friday...?
-
Still 2 days away but it's encouraging to see the meto yellow warning for snow extended right over us now too in the SE. Apologies if this has been posted already
METO confidence levels must be high for the south east now
Hopefully it will pull off as currently stated!
-
No link, it's what I know
I hope your right mate!
Last week and Mondays disappointment was hard to take
-
-4 here tonight with a dew point of -8. Very rare to see temps this low in NE London!
-
Oh right but would the MO warnings for the west of the country reflect more confidence for the Snow for them rather than the east or have they just not updated the pages?
-
Carried from the end of the last thread...........
Hi there everyone, Are you all sitting down? Reason why MetO are showing heavy snow over the SE on Friday/Saturday so early in the week is because they are confident this event WILL occur
At present, ppn incoming from the North Sea on a variant E to NE wind flow will penetrate slightly inland
The very cold air mass is very dominant right now which indicates it could be around longer
Do you have the link to the MO page that supports what you have said please?
Just tried looking at Friday on the MO page for London and there is no real warning.
The yellow area is over on the west of the UK only...
-
T84...Yum..more getting in on the snow action
Is the latest runs in favour of London Snow or is it far too west?
-
For Friday, correct me if I am wrong, but the snow forecase seems now for the west and central parts of UK?
-
Think I will stop checking the forum from thursday and just let it come as a surprise whether this weekend happens or not
Where in east London are you based?
Probably a sensible option considering the last few occasions!
