    To say it’s so quiet in here it seems very busy, perhaps just my perception? …anyway, the Gfs 12z op for sure is flirting with snowmageddon in Formula 1 ️ .. I think I’m going to stay intoxicated until the next cold spell!.. …don’t think I would survive that long….

    The Gfs 12z operational gives coldies a few crumbs of comfort with hints of another wild goose chase but I can’t forgive this epic fail, it’s left me with no enthusiasm to post…except to say again, merry Christmas and a happy new year to all my netweather buddies, you know who you are! …

    Merry Christmas to all my netweather friends! …and isn’t this the coldest southerly in the history of the universe! ..anyway, chin up coldies, the models led us up and down the garden path yet again, totally clueless, no improvement since I joined in 2005, shocking performance…but here’s hoping for something special in either Jan or Feb..or preferably both!

    I just can’t cope, there’s too many posts to like or not like, it’s given me a major headache!…can we all just agree there’s a good chance it will become colder during the Christmas period, as the ECM shows?.. !

    I’m already exhausted just reading through today’s posts so far and I’ve just completed a looong shift, can I just say, it’s still all to play for!…follow the mean, not the ops and you will be happier, I assure you.. after 16 years on netweather I think I’ve learned a thing or two…anyway, for all the coldies, fingers crossed all these hundreds of posts are worth the effort!

    This is nail biting behind the sofa stuff for coldies but I was delighted with the Gfs 6z operational between Xmas and almost to the new year!…I’m sure there will be more twists and turns but I’m hoping for a cold Christmas as most in recent years have been mild mush fests..fingers crossed!

    Unless my eyes were deceiving me, the Gem 12z eventually turned into a gem for coldies, as did the 0z!..I still think it’s all to play for, hopefully the cold air to the N / NE will dig far enough south later in the week to make Christmas white!

    For sure I’ve seen worse charts for crimbo day…BANK! …isn’t this fun?… ..for sure it’s more fun than watching Spursy v Liverpool!

    Fantastic output this morning if you’re a coldie!..The GEFS / ECMWF mean continues to trend colder in the mid range which is perfect timing for Christmas!…the operational runs show potentially very cold and for some, snowy conditions at Christmas…the Gem gets a special mention..it’s enough to make a coldies heart sing with joy….honestly, it could be amazing! ️ …might wax the sledge!

    Well, what can I say.. …the GEFS / ECMWF mean is trending colder from the N / NE in the mid range which is potentially great news for Christmas, how cold?, how wintry is for nearer the time…anyway, Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat, the mean is trending colder..I’m more than happy with that! ️
