  1. Almost stopped here now just north of Mablethorpe, got about 2 inches. Really enjoyed throwing snow balls at the kids before it got dark! First snowman of the year! Roads are really bad. Some of my lads still out - 21/2 hours to get from Louth to Horncastle, just to collect Market Stalls!!
  2. The wife has just called to say they are closing the kids school even though it has turned to rain on the coast!!! However, still snowing at Manby! Snowball fight at Lunch seems to be on the cards.
  3. At Last, Snowing and actually settling here on the coast. I am getting reports form my teams around the district that it is getting quite bad out there. Started raining about 6am and turned to snow around 8am. Roads around Louth, especially the bypass seems to badly affected.
  4. Evening all, I am right on the coast about 3 miles north of Mabo and we have had lots of showers today but mainly soft hail with a few snow flurries mixed in. There is a slight dusting now but its still not "proper" snow. I am hoping for a similar event to Easter last year when we had 10cms. Have a good evening.
  5. Snowing well here on the Lincolnshire Coast (500m from Sea), lying snow from last night around 4cms, starting snowing this morning at about 7.45am and has added about another 2cms. Just going outside to pelt me kids with snowballs!!!!
  6. How did you guess? Has been a busy few days for us especially with the Wainfleet situation last night.
  7. Hi there all. I don't post much, but thought tonight would be a good time. Best wishes to all those affected in Gloucester and the surrounding areas and I really hope everything calms down. As an ex Cotswolder, born and bred I know the areas really well and can only sympathise. We have been hit here in Lincolnshire again for the second time in as many weeks and I have been heavily involved with sandbagging those affected. Thankfully it seems to have calmed down here and I am hoping Wednesday's rain doesn't drop to much on us as the land is so saturated and the dykes and rivers cannot take much more. If anyone can give me a heads up for the amount of rain expected I would be most grateful as it will help me plan the shift patterns for the lads. Take care all.
