    Drove to Herne Bay seafront, and the water is so high it's coming up against the beach huts, it's also nearly as high as the pier! The waves are crashing over the walls onto the road, with a number of stones thrown at cars for good measure. The highest I've seen the sea since living here

    About 3 years ago we flew home from holiday and happened to drive past the marina,people were gathered looking out towards the jetty arm so I stopped and had a look,the sea was washing across the arm into the marina,I took some video and photos,I then drove to Hampton car park which looked part of the sea with waves crossing the carpark over the pier into the sea by the car park entrance. I think I am going out to have a look now!!

    is it safe?

    Can see the sea from my house in daylight but being dark its just the sound of the sea and wind I can here at the mo and I must admit to being tempted to go and see what it is like. I would not be at sea level but higher up and not exposed to any risk but being a risk assessment writer I would take as many precautions as possible.
