That squal seem to be getting near me now.
Hi Alexis its over Herne Bay now and looking at the radar it runs down to Dover so it should be wet and windy there very soon!!
-
Not looking good for a drive to Sevenoaks to see my step daughter and her new born son on Monday afternoon then
-
Hi Folks well I knew it was going to be bit windy but I have just driven to London to work and I would say it was a worse drive than when I drove home in the middle of the ST Jude storm, I was being thrown side to side by the gusts plus very heavy squall like showers with instant flooded roads.

Hi Guys and Girls. This is well worth a listen. Here is the link.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p01lswz0/Paul_Hudson_Weather_Show_14_12_2013/
Listen from 42 mins into the programme.
Should chuck this in the mod thread he he Mr PC is well known and his views and methods give rise to great debate, each to their own and he makes money from it so some agree with his sun related predictions. He does get it right sometimes but then again so do I

WOW!
Drove to Herne Bay seafront, and the water is so high it's coming up against the beach huts, it's also nearly as high as the pier! The waves are crashing over the walls onto the road, with a number of stones thrown at cars for good measure. The highest I've seen the sea since living here
About 3 years ago we flew home from holiday and happened to drive past the marina, people were gathered looking out towards the jetty arm so I stopped and had a look, the sea was washing across the arm into the marina,I took some video and photos,I then drove to Hampton car park which looked part of the sea with waves crossing the carpark over the pier into the sea by the car park entrance. I think I am going out to have a look now!!

Herne Bay is now 1.5m higher than spring tide forecast...

Any cams from Herne Bay or Whitstable????
Hi Neil only Whtstable Yacht Club but too dark to see anything
-
guys think before you go out
is it safe?
Can see the sea from my house in daylight but being dark its just the sound of the sea and wind I can here at the mo and I must admit to being tempted to go and see what it is like. I would not be at sea level but higher up and not exposed to any risk but being a risk assessment writer I would take as many precautions as possible.
