  1. Hearing increasingly loud thunder in MK, but nothing showing that close on mapping. Very odd.
  2. It appears to be cycling again on the far NE edge. I'm keeping an eye on all the other cells to the west of MK, they appear to be circling each other and building. Very odd movement. I can now hear thunder in all direction from the center MK, sounding angry again.
  3. I pointed out earlier it look like it had a wall cloud with rotation on it, but my observation was dismissed. Sadly I was stuck indoors with a screaming 5 month old, so couldn't go out and catch some video. Hopefully some one in Bedford or MK managed to get a pic or video. The sheer amount of lightning from it accompanied by powerful non stop thunder, squally winds for 2 or 3 mins and weird cloud structures resembling a whales mouth points to possible super cell characteristics.
  4. This is getting nuts, new cell firing to my SW and west, Buckingham / Winslow way and heading here, then there is the one looking to munch Oxford also heading this way. Could be an evening and night to remember.
  5. Hail falling now in MK, sky turning darker and more lightning and thunder.
  6. Massive bolts of posit e lightning raining down now and all I can hear is sirens going off. This really is getting scary as hell.
  7. New cells building to my south and west and being pulled into the larger cluster. It is getting scary looking out, the clouds are weird so I've headed back inside.
  8. Oh my god, this thunder is evil sounding. It's actually shaking the building.
  9. Constant lightning and thunder in Milton Keynes now with squally winds. Very little rain and sat under what looks like a whales mouth sky.
  10. Guys in the path watch the storm leaving Milton Keynes. It has a wall cloud on it with rotation, lightning is constant and the thunder is like nothing I've heard before. Sounds incredibly powerful and so deep and booming.
  11. Storm coming for my east is on a direct path to hit Bedford, The thunder from it sounds incredible.
  12. Storm movement here is North East, Sat on the very edge of the cluster in Milton Keynes and all I can hear is constant angry sounding thunder to my south and east. All I have had is 10 mins of moderate rainfall which has made it feel like a sauna outside.
  13. The whole skyline to the south of MK is going black as the ace of spades. Looks like another storm building just to my west near buckingham.
  14. Heard distant thunder from 2 strikes to the SE of Milton Keynes 10mins ago. Was picked up on lightning maps, then disappeared. Can confirm hearing thunder though.
  15. Download it and open with a media player. It's an apple quicktime video clip with the extension *.MOV
  16. Activity starting to pick up in the north sea, with new cells firing up. Pretty sure the new stuff building is more elevated than earlier, probably why the lightning rate is increasing and the cold water isn't having an effect.
  17. Looking very dark and stormy to the south in the mid levels. Thinking some high based lightning will fire off as the evening progresses.
  18. Lightning just east of Watchet in Somerset.
  19. Not sure what sites, lightningmaps rea ltime is down and stuck from earlier this evening. Wouldn't be surprised if it was electrically active as it appears to have a good hail core on it.
  20. It's very close to my SE, lightning firing but cannot hear any thunder, very odd indeed. There we go can hear it now, deep angry growls. Looks like it may be building still.
  21. Storm brewing to the south of Milton Keynes near Leighton Buzzard. Can see a huge cumulonimbus in the distance slowly heading this way,
  22. Storms passed here about 30 mins ago. Thunder wasn't overly loud apart fro. Three or four bright purple coloured check bolts that were fairly close. Apart from a five min torrential downpour hardly any rain. Did however have some really nice elevated strobe lightning with the metallic crackling sounding thunder. Feels more humid outside after the storm than beforehand. All the rain that fell has almost evaporated away.
  23. Can see huge flashes of lightning now to the south and southeast of MK, whole sky is lighting up. Hope it heads this way
  24. Just wondering if the storm approaching Bournemouth is super cellular. It appears to be taking a more eastward shift than the storms to it's west and the lightning frequency is tremendous.
