  1. It's taking it's time ;-) The question is by how much the tail over the channel moves east versus north...
  2. Very interesting watching the radar. The front is slowing it's drift east and moving NNE, but it's possible that we will see quite a bit of snow in West Kent. There is a hell of a tail on the front too, so whoever gets stuck beneath it will have alot of depth, I suspect. Enjoy! Loafer Loafing around outside Tunbridge Wells...
  3. We might if we could - I'm unable to edit my profile at the mo...admin...help!
  4. You think that's bad. I got back to my station in Kent, cleared the windscreen, and got in and realised the frost was on the inside.
  5. Whilst waiting for the 18Z output, I thought you might all enjoy the USAF Snow Accumulation forecasts, based on the Met Office data. http://ows.public.sembach.af.mil/index.cfm?section=dsplOOPℑ=21OWS_EUROPE_MODEL-DATA_UKMO-GLOBAL_SNOW_SFC_??_12Z
  6. You might as well ask for the lottery numbers. Look at the General Model thread and you will start to see the range of potential outcomes.
  7. Judging by the Dutch radar, they have plenty of oomph! What time do you think?
  8. The 48 hr one is also interesting...isn't that a streamer?
  9. I find it hard to see that we won't see some snow in the SE with the GFS and Fax charts for midnight tonight through to about 18hrs tomorrow, as it drags moisture from the north sea whilst approaching from a NE direction - is that the setup for a Kent Streamer? After that it looks rather too northerly for a while.
  10. It certainly is confusing - decent cloud on http://www.sat24.nl/Region.aspx?country=nl&sat=ir&type=loop but no precipitation on http://www.meteox.nl/gmapstatic.aspx?zoom=6&type=zoom&x=250&y=221
  11. Your S3 Defender will be pre-2001, so not £400. I've got "Snow Socks" for my Saab, which I hope to have to try out tomorrow...!
  12. Always interesting to look at another model. http://pages.unibas.ch/geo/mcr/3d/meteo/nmm22/PCP0360.PNG Meteoblue shows Luton as the furthest south for snow. Regards. Loafer
  13. Enclosed is the view outside my window in Central London. c.1-2cm cover and holding. Not snowing now. Regards, Loafer
