  1. Thunderstorm just passing through here at the moment. Pretty frequent sheet lightning and thunder with pea sized hail.
  2. Found these two great videos from the Glenshane Pass.
  3. Snow very light here now. Street lights are out. Belfast is like a rave atm, lights flicking on and off all over the joint.
  4. Snow starting to settle here now, albeit a slushy mess. Lights flickering all over Belfast.
  5. Heavy wet snow here now. Some progress .
  6. Think this could be quite an epic fail for Belfast unfortunately, ground is saturated, mini rivers flowing everywhere. Must be some huge rainfall totals about. I just can't see any snow lying, if indeed the snow does come. But i live in hope yet with those fancy red warnings from the MetO. Moderate rain at present with a temp of +4C.
  7. Heavy rain here in Belfast still. Temp is +6C.
  8. Very heavy rain here atm, with a few snowflakes thrown in. Temp has gone back up to +5C.
  9. Chill pill dude. Going by the forecasts Coleraine will do well out of this. Patience . Sleety wet stuff here atm. Temp +3, dew +2.
  10. Well that ended up an epic fail. Just a short, sharp blizzard for 15mins. Back to light rain at present.
  11. Moderate snow here now. Don't think it has the slightest chance of lying, the ground is saturated. I take that back. It seems to be settling quite nicely, on the grass at least.
  12. Ditto. Updated warning out from the MetO. Heavy Snow & Drifting Snow 2036 Tue 23 1200 Wed 24 Outbreaks of snow will become heavier and more persistent tonight and into Wednesday morning. Accumulations of between 5 and 10cm are expected quite widely, though sleet is more likely along the east coast. Across higher ground in the north falls of 15cm are possible with drifting in the strengthening northeasterly winds. Across Armagh and Down the snow should turn to rain during the morning. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to TrafficWatchNI.com (operational hours 07.00 to 21.00 Mon to Fri and 09:00 to17:00 on Saturdays) for further advice on road conditions. Issued at: 2037 Tue 23 Feb
  13. A few flurries blowing around here atm. Still have some patches of lying snow from the weekend.
  14. Simply because he had sense, haha! BBC forecasts are showing snow coming into the east of NI for tonight and tomorrow morning. Would be nice to see an end to this snow drought.
  15. Light and moderate bursts of wet snow here in East Belfast atm.
  16. Moderate snow showers here throughout the day. Current one is leaving a nice dusting, my street is also very icy.
  17. Moderate snow here now. Doesn't appear to be settling.
  18. Just had one of the more eventful weather moments of my life. Out for my smoke lashing with rain, stops for about 10 seconds and then comes back as snow and then rain. Maybe someone heard me that i 'don't do' sleet. Any snow lying here is dissappearing pretty quickly.
  19. And finally the snow has arrived :o . 2-3cm received here in East Belfast. A nippy -7C outside already :o .
  20. Lack of posts suggest that the front moving south is more of rain, or is everyone out building a snowman?
  21. Been exactly the same here across the Lough. Looking okay atm though. Showers seem to be nice and heavy moving in from the North. Only really expecting a slight dusting though.
  22. I've been right on the edge of that shower, hoping that it would come over this way, but no luck. Seems to be moving very slowly west.
