  1. winter wonderland wasnt expecting this non stop since 6.30am n getting heavier

Enjoy it while it lasts, this looks to be it's swan song :). Must admit, I was surprised at the amount we got in Darlo, we were very lucky with what was quite a narrow band of showers hitting us dead on. Have to agree it was nice to have the main roads clear leaving work at 8 though, makes admiring the snowy scenes far more bearable when you're not having to drive at a snail's pace!

  2. The sky looks very orange over the tees-side area from here, is this moving to darlo on the radar?

Wind picking up now as well remains 1.7°C with a dew point of -1.7c

Stockton seems to be the limit of where the band is getting into at the moment, showers look a little beefier up north of Newcastle, but still looks to me that theres only a small chance it'll pass through Darlo.

  3. Wind direction definitley changed looking at the most recent radar. Darlo going to miss out on the long band but hopefully that bit to the east has our name on it providing it doesn't fizzle out!

Edit: Hmm just noticed radar is a little behind so looks like whats left of it is here. Flakes too small to make an impact.

  4. Very small fine flakes floating down now. Nice covering on the roads now again though! Added a good few CMs and nice to see a proper heavy shower considering I missed the one near new year while I was down in London. Off for some kip now but will be interesting to see of we get anymore overnight and into tomorrow .

Haven't been out to measure Paul but a similar amount here I'd say. Definitely the fastest covering I've seen in a long time!
