Craigers, Where are the snow showers then? The computer generated MET forecast showed snow from 9 tonight, now its not there. The projected rainfall also showed snow for tonight, thats not on the actual radar now. The models show no snow. Yes, from midweek onwards when there is instability within the flow, but tonight, I would be surprised if there are any showers. Can you show me these showers forming on a radar? Im not being arsey about it I just like to see the physical proof.

For the zillionth time people. There wont be any showers. Iv said numerous times today to check the radar with the projected rainfall and there is a marked difference. Its not Rocket science, and I wish people would use common sense and a bit of scientific deduction instead of hopecasting...ARGHHH rant over,

Its not going to snow tonight, No model shows it, Its just a guestimate from the computer. You can do a comparison of the actual radar to the predicted radar. They are not identical.

If you check the rainfall prediction against the actual radar, well, say no more.

Although with such a strong easterly flow I wonder what the odds are of a streamer. There was a discussion on TWO about the possibility of Lake effect snow and convective activity from this easterly, Confidence was low.

Shows snow showers all Monday morning. Been saying this on the BBC yesterday
This mornings BBC Forecast doesnt show this though.

I've just driven to Todwick which is A57 between Sheffield and Worksop and it was Snowing steadily between M1 and Todwick going both ways.
Just got back home to Rotherham and nothing here, so Snow must be creeping very slowly westwards.
Cant see it, radar is showing rapid decay.

Which national weather was that craggers? Im sure the METO would have us under an amber warning if that was the case. now downgraded to yellow.

Dont know how radar looks fine when you run it, and can clearly see the area covered is getting smaller each pass.?

radar seems to show rapid decay of system now.cant see snow till 3pm from that. Fantastic event though.

To me it looks like the entire system is decaying. Its stopped here in Rotherham, cant see much more coming out of this.
