  10. back slack i think all u need now is to ramp up the potential of a snow event in mid july after a day of 30c sunshine and a hot southerly wind from africa . And then want to slit wrists when it doesnt happen lol but hey how theres alway wednesdays event to look forward to lol
  11. the area to the west of us is tilting but its going south a little quicker then its tilting east only hope for southern part of region is if it starts to expand which at the momment doesnt seem to be.
  12. looking at it again the 18z gfs for midnight tonight looks like its got the precipitation about right
  13. Not sayin you are gonna be wrong regards carlise but if you look at radar since 5pm the southern limit hasnt moved south at all the westward progresion is little further west but is rather light think it wont start a southern move till late morning but we will see
  14. think south of lancashire may escape worst of freezing rain temp in the south i think by 11am will just be high enough to stop freezing rain but anyone on some higher routes need to be carful but i think north of the region may be making headlines in the morning with the ice

  16. well its either gonna rain or snow for 24hours now looking like a rain to snow event for southern and central areas for our region. And my flight from manchester to gatwick friday 8.30 am is looking decididley iffy.

  19. Yes but that cloud to the nw in early hours will come over lifting temp which is the problem.

Personally i would wait till the next set of runs filter through or wait till morning to double check this front could be over north cheshire by 9/10am might be touch and go Like i say you can wait till morning then make decision dont just turn computer off now thinking u will be fine this will change in the next 12/18 hours
  21. temp will be low tonight but by the time its clouded over and started to rain low lying areas wont see freezing rain or snow
