Surely though, unless you are in Scotland, those 850s are just too warm, even then it would be marginal away from higher ground? I am fairly amateur in all of this but a 0° 850 is going to bring nothing but rain unless you are at significant elevantion?
but things will change that chart is along way off there wil be lots of action before then.

YELLOW WARNING: WIND
Areas affected: The whole Southwest
During Wednesday evening into Thursday, strong and gusty winds are likely to develop across England and Wales.
We can expect gusts of 50-55 mph inland especially when showers are due. 60-70 mph on coasts and hills especially in the west, winds will gradually ease during Thursday afternoon.

Perhaps a hint or 2 of a potential colder trend at times further afield! Just noticed from Simon Lee also pointing out quite the spread of solutions from multiple models for March...so we are still just about in the game, but I would like to see some colder solutions appearing in the short term models within the next week.. a few hints being dropped from the GFS ens and again the para thus evening.
Snow is not uncommon in March even down here

Yes it's far more west and far more precip attached. It's a long way out from what was expected and timings are wrong too.
the front is making things for tomorrow more interesting

Holden Hill can be lethal in that sort of weather! Really hoping it does stick, it is very rare for us to get a good amount of snow.
when we get it it's not done by little amounts lots of good weather watching to come

Because people do, it's about what the models are showing, not whether it's going to be build a snowman in Knotying Snodsbury on Monday afternoon.
Knotying snodsbury sounds a good place to build a snowman

I am struggling to get excited by this beast from the east I just feel like vomiting while they all talk of 50cm+ for their regions.
Then when you hear the phrase "the whole country gets a pasting" you know that doesnt ever include west country
Get used to the rain

A number of you are saying GFS 12z is an improvement on 06z. Maybe something to look forward to when I do my update on the usual 12z models later on
Looking forward to your update

If the models stay the same, there will be a red warning for Scotland eventually.
Interesting times ahead, as long as we don't get a back track.

Snow's back on for Monday in Cornwall - well, Netweather and the BBC say so. The MetOffice is a spoilsport and says cold rain, which is probably more likely. Back to dreaming of 2018, I suppose.

Remember Mike..worry about the cold getting in first...the snow will surely follow. We have a raffle ticket here...and I reckon we are guaranteed a top 3 prize.
Well don't give the ticket to me as i am so unlucky i came 3rd in a 2 horse race.
