Yeah saw that, that's hope they send a few late additions, be static of cause. But I got a feeling it may be to late now. Also airshows might be the last thing on there mind. But we can hope, I'm hoping for a few surprise arrivals like we have had in the past.
Not long now woop, weather looks great, already got all my batteries changed, and just got a new 64GB CF Pro card. Should get some good shots on my new camera as it has 8fps shutter speed.

Great set of pictures, aww the mud the memories lol. I"ll have to try Duxford sometime the more airshows the better, did plan to do 9 this year, so far only ended up going to RIAT oops. Also the cider will always make any airshow even better haha.
Here are a few from RIAT last year, got a new camera this year so looking forward to the extra details. It was the first time I ever owned a camera, now I'm addicted, looking forward to use my new one with all the learning I have done since the last RIAT.
Update was a little poor, happy with the first F16's on static, normally so many more.

Yeaaaah, I'm waiting on UKAR for the update normally around midday, im still hoping for a SU-27, as they didnt get the Viggen. Looking forward to a show without mud, last year we got stuck haha.
Never been to Duxford but would like to check out your pictures :-)
-
Agree shame the americans are not coming, static will be thin this year.

Team Jo,
What camera and lens do you have? Looking forward to RIAT so much, gotta say with the lastest weather charts its looking good. Hope it keeps it up when in the hi res and reliable timeframe.
Check my link below if you wanna check out my pictures, been practicing with all sorts of settings for this year for RIAT. Also have last year on there with Eastbourne and Shoreham. Hopefully clear blue skies for perfect pictures.
This makes me excited even more, been checking the GFS every update, not long till its in ECM range, then UKMO.

I'm looking forward to RIAT next weekend, I just hope the weather holds up, last 3 times I have been its been either cloudy or showers or a whole morning of rain and low cloud base. Second year with my camera so I'm hoping blue skies wooop.
At least it's not a 2008. Last time I got brunt there was in 2007 I missed 2006 where it was perfect weather and hot. I'm in the viewing village this year.
Did Eastbourne and Shoreham last year, RIAT still my best airshow, the more jets the better love the sound.
Wanted to get down to Waddington, it's just a little far to travel, hopefully next year.

All going to plan. Timing excellent from NAE as is current wet bias before snow signal suddenly becomes more pronounced by 03z onwards:
Looking great Ian. Glad it's all going to plan.

This is great, where can I view the radar?
I have it on my Ipad Weather Pro HD something I paid for, I pay everything I can get weather related. Net-Weather Extra still one of the best I ever paid for. Always recommend if you have not got. Just for all the extra info, it's great.

Right I'm in bed TV on and Ipad on and ready for a all-nighter. Haha I'm a crazy bleeeeeeep.
Radar watch time, the best way from now on I got a radar which shows me rain or snow, that's all I need.
-
I'll be up all night, so lots to look forward to how it will unfold. I'll be in bed watching tv with my Ipad. Its nearly fully charged.
-
Well i'll be up all night with my knowledge, not sure if that will help. But i have been doing this for a long time for a 28 year old. The 18Z NAE looks good for us in Hampshire. Not long till we find out.
-
Not long till the updated NAE and NMM comes out, be good to see as it will be the last for some when the event happens.

bit harsh to call me a drama queen when the met office are saying 9pm today heavy rain isle of white porstmouth.
Relax, lets see what happens when the main band comes. I can understand how you feel as i live right next to you, its always been more of a let down then not. Stay up late with me, lets see how we go :-)

OldMetMan, i wished you lived in The East Midlands, would love to see your fantastic knowledge posted in our area.

Sorry i was on my Smokeone account, my old account forgot i had it.
But yes, its going to be very close for us so close to the the coast. So who is going to be up all night it see how it goes? Right now we have a wetish ground from the light rain the past few hours.
-
im in southsea and all i have seen was a little flurry !!! ive seen no rain today !!
Yeah same here little flurrys this afternoon. Maybe I saw it wrong I'm sure he said he had very very light rain in southsea.
-
not many people from portsmouth and the isle of white in here so goes to show really they feel the same pretty poor event for us hope it slips futher south abit so we can drag really cold uppers into the channel to keep it as snow.
I think we will have a bit of snow at least. I not sure about Portsmouth tho, it's always that little bit warmer there it seems then just down the coast to Fareham. We will see if it turns to rain, it's been very very light snow during the day today. But SunnySouth Coast said its been very light rain in southsea.
Amazing how just little things can change just up the road. My guess is snow and maybe the back end turning to light rain but I reckon we might just be east enough to keep it as snow.
I'll Remember this post and that's see what happens tomorrow.
-
Really hope we see snow on the extreme coast tomorrow but only had some light drizzly rain this morning
Was -1C again last night & is 3.5C at the moment with a dp of 1.4C
It's amazing how different it is I'm right on the coast but we have colder temps, and also been very very very light snow, still is now, well snow flurries.
I think we will have something at least a dusting.
