  1. I cant remember any snow lying in April, but I do remember snow flurries on April 3rd 2000, and this year is the 25th anniversary of the late April 1981 snowfall (I was only 4 months old at the time though)

  4. Could 30C be reached in April if we had the right conditions?
  5. Longest summer periods with max temperatures below 20C (June 1st - August 31st only, I have not counted parts of temps below 20c that started in May or ended in September). Temperatures for Birmingham from weather online from 1982 - 2005. 1: 27 days (June 1st - 27th 1991) 2: 26 days (June 1st - 26th 1987) 3: 25 days (June 4th - 28th 1985) 4: 23 days (June 13th - July 5th 1997) 5: 22 days (August 11th - 31st 1986) 6: 17 days (June 1st - 17th 1995) 7: 15 days (June 1st - 15th 1990) 8: 14 days (June 3rd - 16th 2002) 9: 12 days (June 1st - 12th 1988) 9: 12 days (August 12th - 27th 1982)
  6. I'll go for a cold April with a CET of 6.5
  7. I was only 6 at the time, but I do remember lots of snow and my mum coming to collect me from school as it was closed.
  8. Amazing pictures, especially the ones of the car next to the wall of snow.
  9. Its close as to whether this March will be colder than 1996 (CET 4.5), but I think it will just beat March 1987's 4.1 There may have not been much snow this winter, but it has felt colder than the last few winters, so at least I have more hope for some snow next winter.
  10. Has anyone noticed that every year, the first week in July always seems to be cool, I think there has only been one very warm spell in the first week in July here in the last 15 years (2001)
  11. What was it like in the Midlands on Christmas Day 1980 (The day I was born), was there any snow?
  12. Average here for March 2006 so far is only 2.8C (The average at this point in March 1996 was 3.8C, and the month ended up at 4.1C in the end), so an average temp below 4C is looking almost certain.
