If rumour has it right, that cold Atlantic is getting warmer, so those basking sharks amongst the surfing community will be replaced by tiger sharks before long....
You've obviously never dipped your toes in it then,it's bloody freezing especially in July and I bet there's more sharks in Brizzle on any given day.

Don't lose hope.
Plus in summer, you can see basking sharks, various seabirds and dolphins from your windows.
We only see chavs.
It all balances out.

Thanks or the charts Ian,still can't read these ones to well,looks like rain here on the north cornwall coast,I would like 1 day of lying snow(or even truthful snow)but can't see where it's gonna come from,if I can't get it this winter then I may as well give up.

Stopped snowing here, but the fir trees on the hills look rather funky.
Is anyone able to do a radar shot of TQ13? Looks really thick with it further north, but doesn't seem to be moving this way!

Can anyone confirm that it is snowing at Boscastle? Have just looked at the weathercam there and it appears that it is. Never thought I would see snow there!
It was about 7am,temps have risen to 1.7 c Dp 0.8 c,just had a shower of sleety-soft hail mix and winds are now off the sea so a tropical day to come compared to yesterday's 0.2 max.

Northern Cornwall getting snow
A mixture of mostly snow pellets and snow right on the coast has left a nice slippery covering for anyone driving tonight.

Light snow here at about 8,didn't settle(ground too warm)slowly changed to sleet and now rain,it,s very light though so won't wash all you lucky snowhoggers snow away.

Temp 0.1C dp upto -0.3C, getting even more marginal now. Further south and west are the temps/dp lower?
yep temp 0.8 dp 0.1 snow now stopped lots of thawing happening.

im still hoping hubby is at work and cant see outside so he is banking on me to shout "GET HOME NOW" as you might have guessed i havent had to do it yet. .. prob wouldnt even if it became a white out enjoying the peace jk.. its totaly stopped now anyways..
Oh and i love Boscastel spend alot of time down there..

Its stopped here now didnt settle still showing heavy ppn over me but now nothing .. cant believe what west is best is getting he is only about 30 mins from me .. no fair.

i know its late and my eyes are tired but i cant fathom out the flipping radar must have run it a zilion times but cant see which way its going.. Will it get worse over me or better?

Looks like it can only get better,I've waited 6 hours and now it's snowing + settling on cars and grass,dewpoints falling quickly now so just a matter of time.

Tis now snowing on the North cornwall coast,raingauge stopped reporting so checked D/P was 0.0 so checked lampost and it was snow! Off to get another beer now

They are reporting TWO FOOT of snow!!!!!
If this continues this might be the worst snowstorm to hit the southwest since the Great Blizzard of February 19th 1978 when Devon and Cornwall were cut off from the rest of England. Bit of a way to go until that but it is absolutely hammering down with snow here. Incredible scenes.
Lol not quite that good yet,only just turning to snow on the north cornwall coast,DP 0.1 + falling just hope i dont run out of precipitation.

Well the rain in Boscastle has now turned to sleet,was expecting nothing but drizzle tonight,temp 1.2 dp 0.5.A bit more of a drop needed.

Between Hatherleigh and Holsworthy. It is absolutely piling down here - incredible and the best thing of all? SCHOOL IS SHUT YAY
Heavy snow in boscastle from about 6.30,stopped now but the temp is now rocketing up already at 1.6 DP 0.4 ,last shower was of hail which made dents in my perfect snow cover.Hope we don't get anymore showers now.

Fair enough,give or take the odd flash flood (I'm still selling the rights to my video of that
)It's fairly boring weatherwise but zonal is allways more interesting here!
