hi, i thought today was meant to better, not here, raining really heavy now, B)

hi all, first sympathies to all those flooded, is there an end to this rain, i don't think so the only things that like this rain as far as i can see is, slugs, snails, worms, our fish and frogs!! as i speak its raining again quite heavy, at this rate we will have summer at xmas and that will make us aussie lol on a lighter note, my eldest daughter braved the rain last night to get the latest harry potter book, she went to FROME ok cool not! and queued outside wh smiths only to see the wild side of life, (which bless her had never seen before), im a northerner so im used to it! but anyway, she saw some police action, she says a teenager no older than 14 was p........ed as a fart, and began frightening the young kids waiting, and then a police van turned up, with a young woman pc, whom to the teenager was fair game, he started trying to head butt her and was swearing at her, she then got him in a headlock and it was game over for him, but fight! he really did, they got him in the van, even then he was bashing about like a good un (local dialect!) the policewoman then turned around, to the crowd and got a huge applause! and she replied police, camera, action.

hi, its raining again!!! and has been for the last 1/2, my sympathies to all those flooded, im feeling really guilty living on a hill no thunder here yet!!

thought it was clearing up here. then went very dark and the street lights came and down it came again, we live on a hill so our road was like a fast flowing river for about 3/4 hour now eased off agin but looking out of window more big dark clouds coming :lol:

more lightining now and getting closer but no thunder, its so quiet outside very spooky :o

hi all, just let the dog out and have seen lightining over dorset way, no thunder yet, so i will have to stay up a bit longer :o

hi Andy, yes warminster park deserves a sunday outing, i was really impressed, as for popping in, i think 50 kids wanting the loo would be a bit much

hi, yesterday it was our sons summer school outing, we went to Bradford-upon-avon to look at a canal and barges, after a wander about and plenty of loo stops!!! the kids sat down to draw a barge, all busy concentrating when all of a sudden a young bloke with a pirates hat and sword came along to have fun with the kids! it was not planned and he seemed to come out of nowhere, but he had them singing songs and acting like pirates!! he was so funny, i do think he had too many lemonades!! but what the heck the kids loved it!! after that we went to warminster park where rhere is a lake with lots of birds swans, ducks etc.... when out of the blue a child screamed a flying dinosaur, we all looked and it was a heron on hes way to get a fish, but to a 6 year old they must look huge lol omg by the time i got home i was shattered its hard work being with 50 5-6 yr olds, it needed 3 coffees to get me going again, but we were so lucky with weather no rain and really quite warm, we do seem to be missing all the storms at the moment which is not fair

hi, no hes not preggers but he is old 13yrs and he is the boss of the pond lol, i think the frogs will have a field day today with all the rain

what a lovely morning it WAS! we went to local dump really exciting!! then i cleaned out our pond, had to cut some plants back, of course i disturbed all the frogs, they are quite scary when they are jumping everywhere, especially when one lands on your bare foot, and just sits there and looks at you! , i counted 10 frogs all colours and sizes, we have an old plank of wood overhanging the pond and the frogs hide under it. i love it when it rains because they all come out, our little dog hates them and barks constantly at them, they do not care they must be used to him!!! also in the pond we have a huge ghost koi carp who is very tame, he will eat out of your hand and he loves worms, which the boys think great because they will dig and feed him! i swear we have an obese fish, they only trouble with him is if our other fish have babies he eats them!!!, before we can catch them.

a lovely start here today 21c already, with blue skies and a few clouds,but i see the met office has a flash warning for heavy rain today, off we go again rain, rain!!

well today is the first sunny day for ages and warm the kids being decided to have a water fight, why is it when its a bit watrm kids want to get wet? well there was water and mud everywhere needless to say ended in fights i could do with alot more of this weather fed up with the wind and rain, fingers crossed we will have some more lol

hi, i intend this to be a fun blog of weather watching and people watching example.......... today primary school fete, really wet from previous showers, but being british, as i am, off me and my 6yr old go. as soon as we get there it starts raining, no probs, brolly in hand!, and then of course, cos its glastonbury, the heavens open, thunder & lightining, kids screaming, mums, no brollys, no coats!,(cos they came in cars) kids running everywhere, why when theres thunder kids get hyper? stalls forgotten, wheres the kid? , of course you have the oldies clearing out the cake stall, to have something to go to with their cup of tea!!!! amidst all this rain theres the really have a go tombola bloke who spends 5.00 to get that one bottle of wine and ends up with a can of baked beans oh bless! you have to laugh! oh well another day sunday, im off to a classic car car show yawn, yawn, but i will be people watching, so watch this space!!!
