  1. I certainly wouldnt rule out Snow but it will probably be more sleety if there was to be any wintry percipitation in.

    You probably have about:

    30-40% chance of snow

    50% chance of sleet

    50-60% chance of rain

Its difficult to tell for Bristol at the moment i think.

Thanks for your reply atleast I have some hope.

  2. I'd say that pretty much spot on with what I'd also expect in a situation like this. Where snowfall occurs would probably be on a rough line from manchester eastwards (pretty much) with rain further west.

If the potentially scenario occurred then I'd say precentage figures such as these below would apply

    Aberdeen: 80%

    Edinburgh: 70%

    Glasgow: 60%

    Carlisle: 60%

    Newcastle: 55%

    Belfast: 30%

    Liverpool: 20%

    Manchester: 50%

    Leeds: 70%

    Bristol: 20%

    Birmingham: 50%

    Cambridge: 50%

    Exeter: 30%

    London: 40%

    Dublin: 10%

    Portsmouth: 10%

    Brighton: 5%

These arent actually figures but perceptions of what might happen.

So is this going to be snow for east, rain for west scenario? If so bring on summer, I'm already bored with winter which is a change :D Have fun in the east

  3. That might be the case in your location, but in the south, where most of the snow happened to fall in this spell of weather, 2-3cm is a big deal. I don't think anyone in their right mind would describe it as a pasting or anything like that, but it is significant, because it doesn't happen every year. I had 4-5 cm of snow on Wednesday which basically lasted for the morning. For people in favoured locations for snow, that might not seem like much, but for me it was quite major, because I've not seen that much snow lying in my location for quite some time. Therefore, personally speaking, it's been a good cold spell for me, even though it hasn't been at all potent nationwide.

I suppose this cold snap just highlights the differences between the north and the south.

I agree.. 2-3cm is the best for sledging tbh :nonono: Too much snow and you don't move.

  4. I might aswell put in my thoughts, i'll go for 3.4C

1st Week - Mild, wet (similar conditions to what were having now)

2nd Week - Below average temps mainly dry

3rd Week - Cold, frosty and dry

4th Week - Cold and snowy. Snow being mainly the the North and West.
