  1. Heavier still here, starting to lie on the car windscreen now. Not much, but it's beginning...
  2. Getting noticeably more heavy here now, mainly all the wee flakes are falling downwards whereas 5 minutes ago they were all just blowing about, flakes getting a little bigger too.
  3. Tiny little flurries here in Coylton now, seems to be getting a little heavier but wouldn't read much into it as it's barely worth mentioning right now.
  4. It's 3 degrees in Prestwick with a -3 dewpoint, is that ok for stuff to fall as snow would you reckon?
  5. So, in layman's terms, is there a lot of wet stuff heading our way over the Atlantic? Could it be possible that the West Coast is going to be affected by this precipitation? Could it be possible that it's cold enough for this precipitation to fall as snow? Although clearly there is a danger that temperatures will increase too much as the front approaches?
  6. No fears, East Ayrshire and South Ayrshire are in the yellow on the warnings map - guaranteed blizzards now. I can't wait and can barely contain myself.
  7. Coylton is never the wrong place to be! I do have my eye on a couple of houses in Dalrymple right now though, will wait for the prices to fall another 30 or 40 % though. I keep meaning to take a drive up the doon valley on nights like this but, to be honest, I can't be bothered. Apparently they have a slight covering up in dalmellington.
  8. Yeah, time for us to give up and go to bed I reckon. Still not believing you! Dry here, it may have drizzled a little a while ago but dry now.
  9. Nah, this can't be right, you always seem to get stuff when I don't! I am still dry here.
  10. Gail was in my class at uni, one of the few decent people in the class
  11. Nice one, on the basis of that post I am away out to spend 50 quid on an amazing sledge, see ya EDIT - I am not really.
  12. Britain's lightest ever snow "shower" is happening here
  13. Oh no, did I miss something??? That's what I get for having a wee nap on the couch.
  14. Sean is a real weather enthusiast and loves the extremes of weather that we get sometimes - I read about that in an interview with him
  15. I think his campness adds to the charm! Can you let me know if anything good happens, just so I don't have to get up off my couch!
  16. Is Thursday still on? All the weather warnings for up here have been taken off. Wee Sean has just given the Ayrshire contingent a little hope on STV there, well his little symbols did but he didn't. He stands right in front of the map too often - but I like him <_<
  17. It's Auchinleck I work in - nothing doing there except a squally sleet shower around 8.40 and a couple of 10 minute snow showers around midday.
  18. Yeah, I work over that way, so just come back from there Will maybe try up the Doon Valley if people I know up there give me some positive signs from that direction.
  19. Right, I don't really understand that but I take it it's showing some interesting stuff heading towards Ayrshire? Thanks for sharing
  20. I'm actually tempted to go out on a wee snow hunt later on if we continue to get nothing here, right up the M77 I reckon. Don't wanna miss Corrie though! I will give it till 9pm and then go in a big huff if nothing happens.
  21. Hope...fading Despair...building Annoyance levels...rising!
  22. Can you look and see if anything will happen in Coylton soon? I am about to sound the all-clear down here and give up on this
  23. Hmmm, the sun has been splitting the sky here all afternoon, can't believe it was so bad on the M77, my friend managed to send me a couple of pictures taken from her car, hopefully she was at a standstill at the time and not actually moving!
  24. Did it last long, was it heavy? I went to bed early and can't really be bothered getting up to have a look unless it's decent!
  25. Strong wind, heavy rain, thunder and lightning in Ayrshire just now - hope it doesn't blow my satellite dish out of position mind you, that would be too much to bear!
