  1. There seems to have been snow all around my area but nothing here....in the past we've done ok with snowfall as we're quite high up..... May have to head to the Moor if nothing transpires
  2. If like it to make it across the border to Devon too as I'm feeling very snow deprived!!
  3. I am right on the Devon/Cornwall borders (Devon side) and over 600 feet above sea level and really hoping to see some snow. I've had to stop going on Facebook as I've got a bad case of snow envy looking at all my friends' pics..... Grrrrrr !!
  4. It's been a really raw day here (Ashwater). Temperature has not risen above zero all day. Just went to get some coal in and there's the odd very tiny flake of snow falling. Hoping for a good dumping of the white stuff at the start of the week. Oh and Happy Birthday Mullender!
  5. Its funny..I live near Holsworthy and there's not a lot there at all..... Launceston has a covering and Callington is just crazy!! Lots of children not in school...got 6 in my class!!
  6. snowing quite heavily in Callingon, SE Cornwall and wondering if my school is going to shut!!
  7. Hmmm, well I'm guessing the fact that I can't see clearly out of my VELUX window in my bedroom means it must be snowing! Either that or they are desperately in need of a clean!! No lamp posts round here to check!! ( am out in the sticks near Halwill Junction/Ashwater) can hear a delicate pattering on the glass and its flipping windy!! Hoping I don't have to do the 23 mile drive to school in the morning!!
  8. Well, I wasn't expecting that...snowing when I left home near Holsworthy at 7.30am and light snow when I got to work in Callington...maybe this bodes well for tomorrow...or maybe I am a hopeless optimist!!
  9. I've just gone from deflated to elated in the space of 5 minutes!!!
  10. David Braine just said Devon likely to have snow between midnight and 6am Friday and then turning to rain later in the day
  11. I still don't know whether to get excited or not as I'm in West Devon!!! Arghhhhhhhhh!!!!
  12. Sometimes I hate living on the Devon/Cornwall border :-(
  13. Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this. I honestly don't have a clue about reading models. I am simply a mum of two young boys who wants them to experience some proper Winter weather and have some fun! Until today I've had a high risk for snow on Friday but now it has dropped dramatically and I now have a high risk next week! It always seems to get pushed back which is very frustrating! Can anyone tell me if there's still a chance of snowfall in the south west on Friday or is it less likely now? I'm near Holsworthy if it helps. Thankyou and apologies for waffling!
  14. Quite heavy rain here in Ashwater, North Devon. I'd love an excuse for a day off work to play with my children in the snow on Friday so bring it on I say!! (With apologies to those planning visits to the south of the county!!)
  15. Temp has dropped here from 6 to 4! Time to light the fire :-)
  16. I'm 600feet above sea level in north Devon (Ashwater) and we've had both heavy hail and sleet so far today.!! :-)
  17. Can't speak for other areas but Devon and Cornwall do break up tomorrow
  18. Really heavy hail storm here about half an hour ago that then turned into steady fall of heavy snowflakes...garden has a dusting but not sticking on the drive at all..hoping we all wake up to more in the morning. I really want to have to ring work and say I can't make the 35 mile journey in over Bodmin Moor.. :o
  19. ERM..I'm a Maid!! And I'm in the middle of nowhere ..nearest town Holsworthy..windy..and the odd snow flake
