  1. Most definitely, so long as it doesn't dissipate too much by the time it gets here Everything crossed. Still 0.6C in Newton Aycliffe, with light snow.
  2. That is good news Just had a quick cheeky glance at the models and radar whilst I'm at work, not certain how much snow we will get from that front, if it goes slowly, I reckon about 6-7 hours before it reaches Durham-ish area if it doesn't slow further, It'll make some interesting lamppost watching late tonight all the same anyway:) Think it maybe too much to ask for it to get to this area in the next hour or so, then stall directly over us? Fingers crossed anyway, if we don't get much there is always a bit of hope for the weekend.
  3. Little bit of snow resting on the ground in Spennymoor this morning around 8:30, only lasted about an hour or so, with a few very light flurries too, brilliant B)
  4. Very light snow/sleet falling in Newton Aycliffe, Co Durham at the moment.
  5. IMO it is hopecasting, but that's not to say we wont see anything wintery next week, there could be a chance of something but most likely on the hills in the north. hard to say anything for certain at the mo. Who knows, we may yet all be proven wrong and we will see -18C and blizzards over the next few weeks, dogs freezing to lamposts throughtout the country
