I agree with John. The earth is warming up, but the overall increase in temperature during the past 50 years is less than 1 degree C. The increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide is the result of global warming, and not the cause. This is because warming of the oceans causes dissolved carbon dioxide to be expelled into the atmosphere. Myths about global warming can be found at: http://www.friendsofscience.org
