  1. It's always been a hurricane risk in that area, and the hundreds of thousands who live in the area ,obviously don't think it's such a bad place to live, just like the Caifornians who live along the San Andreas fault...and I'm sure insurers cash in on these prone places.....☺
  2. One to keep an eye on....next Wednesday /Thursday. . Torrential rain ,North ,,severe thunderstorms south.? Trajectory of this low retrogressing towards the West is unusual, but not unprecedented. Anyway one to watch in the coming days...
  3. Looks like next week is being portrayed from both ecm and gfs as being more cyclonic.......
  4. This much rain tomorrow? Surely not. First I’ve seen of this much predicted, UkV so probably wrong
  5. I would call it a "Slack Pressure Gradient" Nothing to extreme either in weather terms ,with a fair mix of dry periods ,but potentially thunderstorms too. All in all not a bad outlook at all!☺
  6. Looks as though in the days ahead away from the next few days , a slack pressure pattern establishing itself across the nation , so some useable weather , generally warm , but the caveat of thunderstorms too. In my book, then , good weather for just about all , growers, gardeners, holidaymakers, and thunderstorm nuts like myself, something for everyone it seems in the next 10 days or so , without putting too much finer details on it!
  7. A bit of convection going on north of Raglan….
  8. The beautiful backdrop of Raglan Castle nestled just outside the Black Mountains. No real convection going on. Atmosphere must be well capped at the moment, with no signs on the rainfall Radar of storms nationwide……..
  9. The skies above beautiful Hay on Wye , show potential …..perhaps !?
  10. The beautiful Haunting ruins of Tintern Abbey in the spectacular Wye Valley. Weather wasn’t bad either!!!
  11. Sherry for most ,a Stark contrast in temperature, with a good 10c, colder than this week, with more wind and rain in the mixture it will feel definitely chilly. But in any sunshine, given the time of year it will feel pleasant...☺
  12. After this weeks warmth, next weeks coolness will be stark…….
  13. May is the month of supreme beauty with the flora and fauna looking at its best , nice fresh foliage and with beautiful weather like today there us no where else in Earth I’d rather be
  14. I'm going to make the most of this beautiful week, next week looks back to square one... Pulling out the shorts and t,shirts tomorrow, won't belong before their back in the wardrobe
  15. Lots of different clouds today on this beautiful late Spring day . Cumulus Congestus, Cumulus, Alto Cumulus, Cirro Cumulus, Cirrus and Alto Cumulus Lenticular.
  16. Scorcher not only just that but I think one of the cities in Oz ,recorded their lowest maximum temperature, either last year or the year before...
  17. Scorcher I think models are now firming up on next week ,yes with the caveat of some changes in the synoptics still to assertained, but make the most of this week , different ball game totally next week....
  18. Well at the moment the rainfall Radar is virtually rainfree right across the nation and Ireland. Not very often you see it like that!
  19. Been a good bank holiday weekend ,mainly dry and warm, with some sunshine, although as I type ,I can hear thunder! So yes a fitting end to a lovely spell of weather, topped with a thunderstorm! ☺
  20. Addicks Fan 1981 the winds won't be wafting in from the south ,if models are correct.....!☺
