1. Right here is what the NMM suggests. By the way Neil lose the attitude otherwise I won't bother sharing the info. You have to realise NW extra is subscription based and it wouldn't be fair on Paul to be constantly posting these charts.

What the NMM shows for early tomorrow morning is a line of snow showers into Kent, coastal strip of E Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex. Now during the morning into the afternoon a band of snow showers hit NE England moving into Lincs. Within our region the snow showers start to affect inland parts of Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Kent, Cambs. During Friday night the snow showers continue and we even see the snow showers around the Wash penetrate far inland to SW parts of our region.

Many Thanks for the update and your opinion's ........ Remember for every poster there are 10's or 100's of lurkers as well as the remainder of posters who are not throwing their snowballs out of their prams.

Please carry on posting the info.. the ignore button sometimes has its uses.

  2. What 48hrs of convective snow showers is a weak blink and you'll miss it affair! to be honest alot of the regulars are getting a bit sick of the sniping and criticism aimed at them! People seem to read the model discussion and believe want they want to rather than properly read whats being said, as for criticizing Steve M do you realize how much work he puts in to his posts!

He's not paid for it but is simply sharing his passion for the weather especially cold and snow! i mean why should he bother when certain members just aim criticism when they have far less knowledge than him and many of the regulars! If people don't like whats being said they should go off and learn a bit more about the models and make their own minds up about future snow prospects, this post isn't neccesarily aimed at you Neil but certain other posters who quite frankly are seriously getting on my nerves!

    +1

If it wasn't for all the hard work that goes into the Outlook threads, and the snippets given here - we would all be watching the BBC who are not going any further than Tuesday at the moment.

Edited to note Paul S comments and the 11am BBC forecast

  4. The showers in the north sea have either died or decaying , rubbish :yahoo:

PMSL - Happy new year ! - I'm off but will back sometime tomorrow morning.

Neil - chill baby, forecasts are not more than educated guesses - 'some' of yours have failed when you've done your paint-shops in the past.

Think of all the good things, the people we have left behind and the service men and women who have laid down their lives in 2009 to give us a chance in the the 'Teenies'

Then look forward to 2010 and the will it or won't it scenarios............

  5. Very uncertain i'd say , they should've at least mentioned the possibility even a low one of turning much colder/snow into next week.

Still , all eyes on tonight i guess

Very Uncertain and the whole county replies upon them to take the uncertainty out of the forecast - so they only forcast known unknowns.

    As Donald Rumfeld once said

"Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns -- the ones we don't know we don't know."
