Beacuse for some they seem to concentrate more on ten day charts that RARELY verify then the short term charts where their is still huge uncertainty.Always been like this in the forum.Plus usual overeaction to any run that doesnt show bitter cold at the end .
That's the fun of it, why else would people post on here? Why does it aggravate some members so much? It's fun, and the clue is in the thread title!

NW radar shows a pink blob (snow) coming our way (swindon) just edging into Bristol, from Wales direction.

crewe matey you speak for many on here !!
But not everyone, some just comment on what the charts show, right or wrong they just try to predict the weather. If its good or bad, is just opinion.

Looks like whole of central southern England will get snow to varying degrees from latest runs.

Remarkable consistency regarding the low in the 6z Ens says everything regarding the low, i think we can safely say with confidence that the low will be pushing furher north, how far north is now the key. I suggest there will be a fair amount of rain in the south, flooding could be a major issue as we head into the weekend.
I'm gonna repost this at then end of the week for a laugh!

The current SSW still looks on course to bringing just that, (cold and snow for uk) given favourable background state, though we may have to wait until the very last few days of February or early days of March to experience deep cold and snow.
Quoting Nick here! Great read!

Oh well at least things are trending cooler now,and if GP's scud comes to fruition in the not to distant future could be some fun and games!
Model watching these last couple of years have been as frustrating as playing the game pickup sticks with only the use of your ar*e cheeks being allowed!
(i should imagine!)
I hope that dog doesn't need a pony and trap!!
"scud" I thought it was a torpedo! Both are dumb missiles, but I prefer a torpedo to a scud any day!

what I would like is to connect to the web and see realtime data is that possible? heck I work in IT I know it is!

I had a maplin one for a while, recently the remote screen broke, my best was -15c think it was 2010! Those were the days.
-
glad I held back on my new weather station now, nothing exciting about posting average readings! If GP's torpedo looks like hitting its target I may still pop to maplins or Amazon (all hail the prime!)

Hello All
Started snowing in Swindon somtime between 12 and 2am, woke up to 4inchs lying and steady fall, stopped at around 9am, Swindon to Oxford road quite clear but some bad bits , couple of cars on side of road spun off, still snowing in Oxford now!! (slowing now) no sign of thaw. Roads are all slushy, but still quite tricky though!
