Sunny intervals, patchy cloud. 18C. It was windy until recently but the wind's dropped a bit.

Just sunny here in Lancaster. And warm. No sign of any thunderstorms!
-
AT LAST! The weather has so far been very dull and boring with a little drizzle, but now the sun's coming out and the temperature is responding nicely. Might even make it to 20C here in the North West once the sun really gets out!
-
Lancaster has had a rather disappointing day, cloudy with outbreaks of rain, and not much in the way of sunshine. Nice sunset though!
-
Sunshine and showers again here in Lancaster, but no hail or thunder this time. It cleared up in the afternoon.

Sun and showers again in Lancaster. Hail just after 12 noon.
-
Sunny intervals and showers all day here in north Lancashire. Showers seemed to come from stratus and stratocumulus type clouds, unusually for a showery day, and yes, as Stephen Prudence rightly pointed out, there were even some "nimbus" clouds. Very strange!

In Lancaster it rained in the morning, brightened up in the afternoon and got quite warm. Don't know what the temperature was, and if I say 16C (my estimate), Hazelrigg will probably come out with a reality of a totally different temperature.

I travelled from Tyneside to Lancaster today, and can give updates for both locations:
Tyneside: Dry and sunny, and uneventful, until at least 3pm. Indications (from BBC Radar) suggest that some showers got over there during the evening.
Lancaster: Sunshine and Showers all day, with rainbows, and some very heavy rainstorms. No thunder though, although it looked like it could do so at times!
Today, like many other days, backs up my opinion that the North East is not a very good place to be for dramatic weather (except perhaps for large-scale winter snowfalls.)

I think Thule's a little bit cold even for me! Temps down to -5C maybe, but not -17C!

LANCASTER:
Sunny all day. Max of 12 or 13C. "Spring day" would be too weak a term, considering that springs aren't usually this sunny!
-
Lancaster: Sunny all day. Temperatures about average (8-9C) but feeling warmer than that in the sunshine. Very light breeze from the east.
-
In Lancaster it's raining, and the temperature is only 4C!
-
Lancaster weather: Mostly cloudy with intermettent drizzle, 12.1C, but with occasional clear intervals. Pressure 1003mb.

Rain shower, with a current temperature of 12.7C (needs to be at least 8 or 9C colder if we are to have snow!) Freshening winds from the north west. Broken cloud.
