  1. A bit late posting these due to some pc issues but some photos from the chase. Definitely remembering why I wanted to be out here again!
  2. Gotta say, photos are superb. Nice one.
  3. It would appear, at first glance, that Tom is suffering some side effects from the vanilla coffee.
  4. Thanks for that. (You have no idea how much I have been looking forward to this. Keep imagining all the things that could go wrong, miss the flight, not let in by Immigration, swine flu.........)
  5. At least it's good to know that you're not the only damn fool sitting here watching! There's 4 of us.
  6. I can't believe that I'm sitting here, eating scrambled egg and watching someone eating 72oz of prime Texan beef. Sigh, 1 week left then tornadoes, supercells, hail (maybe eh Paul), shelf clouds, bloody big spiders!, Big Texan, Cow Camp, etc..............
  7. It's just occuring to me that I only have a week and a half before we fly! I think now would be a good time to start thinking about getting things ready and bought really, especially as I don't have any time off before we go!!!!! Anyway, all the very best to those on Tour 1. Only thing is don't you dare rake all the storms. Much as I am sure we would be able to find things to do I would rather not have a BSB every day. Take care and have fun. See you in 2 weeks! Hmm, only 2 weeks more and then a real steak! Stewart
  8. Thank you to all that were involved in any of the chases this year. It has been fascinating to follow online and the next best thing to being there. The biggest thanks though go to Paul, Nick, Ian, NL, & the other knowledgeable people that freely share their wisdom on the forum. Cheers for making it so easy to follow and constantly filling in the missing knowledge and keeping us all up to date with where people were, what the plans were & what the hell was going on with the weather. I hope that, for the three that were in the U.S., the 35 days (plus all the organisation time & effort involved) chasing were not too much in retrospect and that it hasn't taken away the wonderment and excitement of the chase and the experience and that you will all be going back again next year. Thanks guys. Stewart
  9. Links from news stations about the tornado Articles http://www.kearneyhub.com/site/news.cfm?ne...60767&rfi=6 http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,360362,00.html Videos http://hubvideo.kearneyhub.com/?p=183 http://hubvideo.kearneyhub.com/?p=182
  10. Wow, hell of a story to tell the kids when you get back. Real glad you're all okay after your adventure. It may sound strange but God I wish I had been there! (sigh) Stewart
  11. Oh well. At least you will be able to have the steaks and beers you earned yesterday! Hope the heads aren't too bad
  12. Glad you all had a great day. Sounds like it worked out beautifully for you. It was certainly something else watching it on the web through the night, I can't even imagine what it must have been like to see it first hand. Well chuffed for you all. Definite steaks all round when you next get the chance!! I would say sleep well tonight but I would have thought it could get noisy for you with all the stuff from the squall line hitting you later. I take it you are just breaking Andy in gently?!

  14. Reports coming through that the town of Protection has taken a direct hit. Nothing definite yet but reports of severe damage.......
  15. Too Bl00dy close for sure. Small mercies for sure! Light damage reported 3 miles from Greensburg but other than that............ Have you heard anymore from the guys recently?
  16. I know perhaps I shouldn't go for the most obvious one but all my money is going on Ian C! Ultimately though, this will probably save on the food for the rest of the chase as I shouldn't think they will want to eat again after this! After seeing the size of the damn thing last year all I can say is 'Bl**dy good luck to you and bl**by well go for it, show them what the British are made of.' (Just not literally).............. I don't doubt there will be plenty of support from the rest of the team and plenty of ale will flow. Good Luck! Stewart - The challenge ahead...... - And is the challenge big! - Just when you though it was all over
  17. Nathan, That is so not fair. Start at the Cow Camp and end at the Big Texan , whilst I sit here eating my cheese and pickle sandwich!! B) Good luck on your chase. Stewart
  18. I wish you luck gents, may your trip be succesful and the steaks as good. Stewart A-M

  20. Cracking photos Paul. I can just imagine the language when you realised you weren't going to make it in front of the train! Audmun
  21. Absolutely Prof. I know how tired I was when we came back and to think how busy the recent time must have been I can only imagine. Thank you Paul for letting us at home follow your exploits. I do look forward to seeing your pics, etc but understand your priorities. Stewart
  22. Sorry to hear you had a slightly torrid time of it yesterday. It is good to see you back. We were starting to wonder if you had done a Dororthy! Defintely looking forward to seeing your video and pics. Good grief! What have you bought? I thought only the really top end ones did that?! Stewart
  23. If it's still backbuilding as well could be a busy night for you yet. Ellesworth anyone? Can't have missed by that much Paul! Stewart
