    Whats the chances of Sherborne/Yeovil seeing snow? We have just had a lght sleet shower here but very grey still...currently 2.7 outside!

    Currently -5.2!! Last night at 1.30am it dropped to -9, think we may top that again tonight! What do you think of chances of Sherborne/Yeovil seeing snow tomorrow or Wednesday? Take care out there you lot! x

    Just driven back from Yeovil to Sherborne in torrential rain which turned quite wintry....hope it was okay to post this here...heres hoping for more wintry weather over the coming days!

    Hi In the last half hour the winds are gusting to about 50-60 mph and have seen a few flashes of lightning in the west....the wind actually knocks you off your feet and lights are flickering on and off..have candles out just incase. Is it gonna get any worse? Ian, where in sw are you? Stay safe all x x

    I'm in Dorset and at the moment its very gloomy outside with winds picking up a fair bit in the last 10 mins....has been raining on and off since about 10am this morning but nothing much.. Anyone know how bad its gonna get or is the media hyping things up too much again...?! Take care all x

    Just been to Yeovil and saw a bit of lightning in the distance which lit up Yeovil northwest sky!! Lets hope we are in for more!

    wwooohhoooo... Lots of thunder in the distance here in Sherborne, Dorset....we are about 10 miles south of Wincanton! Hubby says there are a few lightning strikes out there too now....I have my candles lit at the ready! Anyone know how Glastonbury is? My 18 year old neice is there, and she hates storms! Also, are we in for this alot more overnight...fingers crossed! C x

    Hi.... Just looked outside before popping upstairs and its snowing big flakes here. Dusting over grass and cars....didn't expect any at all to be honest...thought it would miss us! Not sure if we are in for more overnight or not...kids would love another repeat of last weeks event! tc all x

    Aaaagghhh..... We seem to be missing out on most of it today......WHY??!!! Been snowing light here on and off all day...some schools closed and temp is now 2.0. Anyone know if Sherborne/Yeovil are due to get it bad cos all around us within a few miles has?!!

    Been snowing here since about 8am... A little snow on cars and roofs but need alot more for it to settle on the roads. The secondary School in Sherborne is closed today and found out that alotof the Yeovil schools are closed. Maybe they are expecting it to get alot worse. Temp here is currently 1.2. Take care all x

    Snowing really heavy here in Sherborne. Very heavy, everything white already and settling.... Temp is 1.4 and quite windy! Wohohohohoho!!!

    Wow.. 6 inches here in Sherborne, North Dorset! -2.8 outside. Looks amazing.. Kids all out in it making snow angels and snowmen....all school locally closed! Roads are dangerous..... take care all Enjoy it while it lasts!!! x x x Forgot to say, snowing lightly occasionally!

    Still coming down here thick and fast... About 6 inches now...woohhoo.... -0.7 outside and very little breeze whipping about. Roads are pretty bad, hopefully schools will be closed tomorrow.. Anybody else here from Dorset or Somerset got it like I do?!

    Still really heavy snow coming down here in Sherborne, North Dorset! My 16 year old boy is loving it.... -0.3 here at present with slight wind... take care all....looks pretty bad out on the roads! x

    Been snowing here quite heavy since about 4pm... Temp is now -0.1 and wind seems NEasterly. Snow is sticking to cars, pavements and everything else. I'd like to see more of this as we didn't get enough to bring this part of Dorset to a hold-up and kids want to stay at home from school to play in the snow ) Anyone know if this is to stay tonight/tomorrow!?     Looked outside 30 minutes ago with not a cloud in sight lots of stars and wad gonna give up! But just looked outside again and yep.....its snowing!!! Big flakes too... -2.8 outside and by the looks of the clouds coming in we maybe in for more... I really hope so....kids haven't seen proper snow in ages! Take care all x
