weve had continous reasonable snow for the last 30mins or so... and still more is forcast! might have a trudge down the pub!

Mornnig everyone.... I have 3 1/2 inches 8cm of the white stuff and its still snowing lightly looks good for more later on as well Roads are aweful outside, been watching vehicles trying to get up my small hill without sucess!

Hi it was me who posted, I am a pilot and was listennig to Thames Radar the people who look after city airport traffic, anyway 10 seconds after the flash an aircraft reported being struck by lightening!!

Can confirm that we have just had lightening followed by thunder and now is snowing quiet heavely

that ligntening just hit an aircraft in bound london city.... all ok heard the pilot report it on the scanner 10sec after the flash

temps have dropped 1 degree in 10 mins down to 1.5c dew -2.7 small flakes but plenty of them

very dark to my east looking towards the dartford bridge..... bring it on dew point is -4.9 and dropping temp 2.7c dropping

Local radio advising to carry "blankets/flasks food for a few days while some very heavy snow is around"

The track of the showers are already WSW- which is favourable for the Southern side of the Estuary-
Lets see how things develop throughout the day- if this continues VERY VERY good for-
SE essex, SE London, NW Kent , North & East Kent- Not bad for Greater London & across to Surrey-
