Hi everyone. Happy Saturday. Must have missed somethig last night. Woke up to find hanging basket blown off the wall - fixings and all!! I'm off to the kent show tomorrow and was just wondering whether to pack my wellies? xxx

I'm wet. Very wet. Went to take some pics. Got soaked From the end of my garden to my front door. Thunder and lightning now.

At home sick today. Just had a few rumbles and a little bit of lighting. No rain. It's heading toward southend. J x

Thanks. I've missed a lot of storms recently as I work in london. Was totally gutted the other day when the storm went over central london and I was stuck on the tube. Will be enjoying this one for all. Trying to get pics but my camera doen't like lighting at all. Must get one where I can adjust the capture speed.

Well untill it's time to book I'll be buying everything either from tesco's on on my tesco's clubcard credit card to rack up those points for some air miles!! Good job my yearly rail travel card, car insurance and house insurance are all due!! Jo -x-

Hi All, Looking forward to the BBQ in a few weeks I was looking at flights today as apparently BA have a sale on at the moment. A flight from Heathrow to Dallas is currently £340. I was just curious about how much they usually cost? J x

Glad to hear everyone's had a good day of storms. Sadly I was not so lucky. Just changed jobs at work and have gone form the 11th with views of the whole of london o a new office on the 2nd floor of the building, which has no windows. So depressing :lol: Was on the tube between 5 and 5.40 so the only bit of that storm I got was the torrential down pour walking from bank to fenchurch street - had missed the whole thing. Would be great if I could catch at least a bit of the storm heading for southend. Jo x

Well I'm in west London and have had our first lot or heavy rain. Looking out to north london theres a big cell with great inflow and heavy rain on the back end. also a cell just crossing to the west. None are electrified.

Golfball sized hail reported to me by my friend in greys/tilbury area. Car alarms going off and what not.

Been watching the storms build all afternoon. Looking really dark towards southend way. Good cloud formations her and drops of rain. Might go up the hill and take some piccis.

Thats exctly the storm! My train got in around then! I'd spent my whole train journey with my face pressed up against the glass hoping, especially after going through upminster and the hail. I waited outside the station for the storm to catch up with me - as it was the highest ground I had access to without having my car. And my patience paid off - there it was. I was getting such funny looks standing in the rain loosing my temper with my phone - everyone else around me running for cover! I got so wet walking home!! Great pics from you guys too!

Thats the one I saw the funnel cloud on the edge of!The clouds were so low you could almost touch them. Pic to follow!

Got slammed on my way home from white city to Basildon. Pretty sure (90%) I saw a funnel cloud over canvey. Got a picture but its on my phone so the image isn't great... now where did i put my usb cable!?!

Paul - Have you looked up recently? Just went to the other side of the office overlooking central London and there is something building - It's looking like it's getting very dense and dark from here.
