I can see a little development to my east over Watford/St Albans area nice cloud visuals.

Most of the storm has passed over me now, really thought buckinghamshire was going to miss out and nearly headed elsewhere at 6pm to chase, I'm so glad my gut told me to stay local, it's been an amazing night

Now I'm sat just outside Hemel hempstead along the A41 and can see lightning all around me, especially to the south and west. May head back to my view point at RAF Halton on the Chiltern Hills.

Of course I have my Buckinghamshire protective dome active tonight lol

Currently sat near RAF Halton in the chiltern hills looking out over the Vale of Aylesbury seeing flashes to west and south.

I was heading south from Buckinghamshire to position myself, then decided I'm better off here and travelling east or west.

I think I'll head towards Brighton - Eastbourne area it never let's me down

Been rumblings in the distance here in Pitstone Bucks can see the MK cell.

Yeah some of the showers are getting very beefy, I expect to see more lightning as the move north/northeast.

I expect most of the action today will again be north Midlands up into Northern areas. I expect the south to dry up later, that's just my interpretation of what I expect to happen.

Sun has finally broke through here in bucks/beds border expecting the home grown action to head north today, quite often here we act like the breeding ground around the chilterns and it then kicks off just to the north of us, shame I'm working otherwise I'd certainly be out and about chasing.

I'm more interested in keeping an eye on NW France. I always find these situations very hard to predict, Radar watching is the best bet.

Some big towering clouds building over the Chilterns and also the opposite direction towards Milton Keynes.

An excellent show tonight here in Pitstone Buckinghamshire had 2 storms in total, the 2nd was best, it went totally crazy with loads of lightning and rolling thunder, the 2nd storm intensified over the Aylesbury area.
Amazing night, nice to finally get something here and for once I don't have to go chasing.

Now having some big flashes to my south, still very windy here and the sky has clouded over, fingers crossed it moves across the Aylesbury/Tring Area

Can see constant lightning to my south now, its lovely sat out in the garden with a refreshing breeze watching the light show, plus being in the country we have very little light pollution here.

Yeah the sky is clear here, however can see plenty of flashes to the south of me, its really windy here too.

I'm in Bucks/Beds border and can see the lightning to the south.
Storms and Convective discussion - June 2023

Decided to go on a little storm chase, started in Aylesbury (Bucks) - Thame (Oxon) - Didcot (Oxon) - Wantage (Oxon) plus stopped in a few villages on the way.
What I thought would be simply be chasing for a few rumbles and flashes was certainly not the case. I literally followed the line of storms, roads were flooded, lightning all around (really angry I never replaced my dashcam, the footage would have been insane) booming thunde, what an afternoon.
I am now as far as Swindon and will slowly trek back home to Pitsone (Bucks), but what a Sunday afternoon it's been. I never expected things to kick off quite like this certainly in my top10 chases.
