I wish storms would hold it together when they cross the English Channel, like the one that crossed the whole of the North sea lol

Just got home from the Sussex coast, Amazing display. I can't say the M25 & M23 wasnice to drive on, so much water!!!!!!!!!. Left at 23.15, took a stop at Gatwick to check and reply to the forum and just confirm my options again, then headed down towards Eastborne, the display was mental along the whole of the coast road. On the way home had some nice lightning around the Heathrow area. Now im back in damp old Aylesbury in the storm starved Home Counties lol

Lovely day here in the Home Counties (Buckinghamshire), some nice sunshine feeling warm 21.6°C at the moment with a few clouds building to the west over towards Oxford way.
-
I was hoping to wake up to at least some rain, but it's bone dry and cloudy, feels rather fresh outside too.

Wow had amazing storm pass through here which made a change. The Bournemouth storm is moving east, i thought that would happen, at first it looked like moving north.
-
Wow getting a nice display here now, woohoo
-
I'm glad to see a bit of development south of me I may still get to see more than distant flashes and rumbles. About half hour ago I though it was gonna pass east of me but thanks to the cells to the south I may get to see something yet lol. Im also noticing the Bournemouth cell is moving slightly east, prob end up in the storm hotspot of Lincolnshire lol

True that bro, I think we're in with a shot looking at the radar though! Strikes popping up around Brighton will be moving our sort of way.
Yep let's hope so I'm ready lol
-
There seems to be some very ott terms being used here so far, "exploding" and "super cells" .... radar would somewhat contradict this at present. I can understand the excitement but we are not seeing a widescale breakdown at present.
Very True,
I don't care for supercells or exploding's lol I would be happy with just a flash or two here lo'

Gosh it's got awfully windy all of a sudden, how refreshing blowing in the room lol I'm like a kid sat in the dark looking out over the chilterns lol
-
Back from the pub now for Nowcasting!!!! Let's keep everything crossed that Aylesbury (Buckinghamshire) get's to see at least a flash or two lol, We have a wonderful habit of sending storms west or east and sit in the middle nice and dry lol

A bit of development over me at the moment, in Aylesbury, just cloud building at the moment with a few nice tops growing seen on my journey home from work in Thame. I suppose if anything home grown happens it will develop in the south and give the north the display. We like breeding in the home counties and sending storms north lol. At the moment my thought is west is best lol

Hopefully, fingers crossed Aylesbury has a terrific habit of storms passing to the north.
