    Gosh everything is moving very slowly tonight, I like that lol nothing worse than strong winds and fast moving showers lol

    Let's hope so. Seems to have gone a little quieter in the west but new activity is detected around the Oxford area and the two main areas are now almost merged as one. There does seem to be more activity on the back edge at the moment.

    A friend in Oxford just ext me to say they can see a few flashes of lightning to the north. Here in Aylesbury still dry even though I'm under rain according to the radar lol

    No thunder or lightning here in Aylesbury but we have a rather heavy incoming shower sob sob lol

    Normally only shows cloud to ground so often when you get a storm you see much more lightning at your location compared to what the lightning maps show. This is why you often get storms not showing on lightningmaps, I had one back in May and it was all cloud-cloud and didn't show at all on lightningmaps.

    If the Swindon storm keeps going as it is now, Marlborough, Hungerford, Highclere and Maybe Newbury could see a nice show.

    Funny how the Met Office has issued warnings for the east, and the action is in the west pmsl. Gotta love the Met Office lol

    I wonder if mother nature will possibly give Buckinghamshire some fun tonight lol Nice to have weather moving from the north to the south for a change. Normally we breed all the storms down here and send them to Lincolnshire pmsl.

    Might not be a bad location to intercept the line of storms. I wouldn't travel if you have too far to go because things are really changeable today lol

    Well finally managed to get some heavy rain for the last hour here in Aylesbury Buckinghamshire, no thunder that I know off. I went to bed at 9am till now after spending the night on here lol. it was amazing to stay up and watch the radar last night and through this morning, such a beast of a storm it was. Just before I went to bed it was still going strong over Birmingham, but it looks like it finally lost the battle and petered out somewhat, considering it started way down in France and made it across the largest part of the English Channel it didn't do too bad hehe.

    Well what did look good an hour ago for here has died now lol typical lol. I'm just hoping the back end of the rain which is still showing lightning last till it gets here, lol I'll take anything lol So i think at the moment Aylesbury will just be in-line for rain in about 15 min's we shall see lol

    Some fast and rapid devlopment away from the west now. The system moving inland south of London is starting to fire up. A few little cells over Suffolk are developing too, I think the Midlands might have a very good day Let's just hope something passes here in the home counties on it's way pmsl.

    The Rain just coming inland further east over Sussex moving north is starting to intensify a little. Also a little storm has just popped up off the east coast.

    This storm over Devon has kept developing all night, look at it over France at 22:15 now compare that to over Devon at 04:15 amazing nice to see for a change

    Nice to see a storm that finally made it across the largest part of the English channel The storm to east still crossing the channel seems to have died down quite abit in the last hour, let's hope something starts back up when it hits land, that one could have my name on it lol.

    Feeling very cool in Aylesbury Bucks, just got in and kinda felt cold walking home lol Not as humid as I thought at the moment.

    There are a few lightning strikes North East of London (Epping) Also a few over the Isle Of Wight at the moment, all coming from incoming band of rain.

    Just in from work and couldn't wait to look at the radar, wow it's nothing like it was when I went to work at 4pm. I take it the showers that were crossing the channel when I left at 4pm didn't turn into anything special?. I was really happy with today, I've missed out on storms quite a bit lately and to have 2 big thunderstorms and 1 thundery shower I was happy lol. The thundery shower was just after 1pm, then thunderstorm around 1.30pm and another about an hour later *happy* Met office did a terrible job today lol they took the warning out for London and the South east and bang it all kicked off there pmsl.
