  1. yes got the snow chains..will be swapping driving with father and brother so will be fine....looking at the webcams now and already meribel's roads looking thick... 100cm? i don't think i've ever experienced that...very very excited now..have an excellent time..cheers
  2. Also heading that way this weekend, to La Tania. Driving down, via Portsmouth Saturday morning, so expecting some delays. But all worth it if loads of snow.. Looks like excellent timing..
  3. Very much a mixed bag. The worst of he mud had dried by Saturday evening and all Sunday was hot with only the small odd patch of mud. Was wearing trainers all day Sunday and dancing bare feet once settled... So yes the sight does turn to mud quickly, and stay that way if topped up with regualr showers. But it also drains away and dries out very quickly with the right conditions...I'd say it was a 7 overall...
  4. It's called inflation; when things like toys and milk get more expensive as you get bigger. Glastonbury is currently the cheapest festival in the world for what you get by a long way, (five days, more than 100 stages and the biggest acts in the world), which is remarkable considering they donate 3million to charity every year. And that’s the wrong use of ‘irony’ by the way. Apart from that a great post – cheers for your input…
  5. Bad news - Thursday has not been a good day so far, (and this was supposed to be our best day!). Rain all morning...sun coming out now though and windy, but I fear it's too much rain to deal with now. The only way we will face any chance of drying out would be if there was hardly any rain all weekend, and then would be dry by Saturday evening/ Sunday morningn at best.... I'm afraid the battle is over...Thanks though for all the help JACKONE..
  6. Thanks JACKONE - I've been looking at the webcams and have family and friends there now... It has been hazzy cloud, or sunny, breezy and warm (particularly last few hours)...no rain.... Reports are mud is more clayish now and there's only mud around places that have been carved up by vehicles.... Looks like today could a significant day... I could stare at this blue sky for hours http://www.checkitlive.com/camera/901
  7. For JACKONE - he's a video of conditions on sight last night/ evening... Admitedly, this track is harder/ a little higher than the lowest regions, but shows how firm some areas are.. http://www.youtube.com/user/worthyfm#p/a/u/0/PZQwKg4dG5Q
  8. I settle for that....It' not the end of the world if the last day is a bit muddy.... The closer we get, the more it looks like a repeat of 2008/2009...which is absolutely fine...cool, with the odd shower..showers are nothing...and might not even get those.. maybe little mud for a day thurs, then dried up for fri and sat... then maybe some more sunday...i'll settle for that. Thank you as always, JACKONE P.S JACKONE - you ever feel like trying out Glasto one year?
  9. I don't know why people wait for this - countyfile are looking at the same charts as everyone here. In fact it's not live, so they are a little behind the time... They won't tell you anything new, they don't have anything secret that we don't..
  10. Wednesday onwards - A little rain is fine (for example a small light 15/ 30 min shower) - would be dry quickly in a few hours or barely make any difference at all... A heavy downpour, for around an hour or more would take around 24 hours to dry at most.. 2008 and 2009 it rained most of Thursday night and it was dry by Saturday morning apart from the odd small patch.. Before Wednesday - If no one is there apart from builders, it can rain rather a lot and will simply flow away, however if any time from Wednesday morning then it's a different story.. Hope this gives you a clue..
  11. The sight dries out in 2 days.. Do not despair... Be grateful this has happened 2 weeks early... Remember 2008 and 2009 both rained loads on Thursday evening but were still dry by Sat morning... Loads of time and hope left mate - chin up...
  12. definitely a better idea to base the scale on precipitation as opposed to temperature. No one is that bothered by temps, (unless extreme), it's the rain that makes a difference.. thanks again cheers
  13. You know Glasto is really near when JACKONE does his daily forecasts..... Any reason why we can't keep all chat and predictions to one forum..? Don't mind myself, but might make it easier for all your fans to track down quicker...! Also , when will you give your 0-5 grades...? They do make it that little bit more exciting.. Thanks again for all your generous work....
  14. Ladies and Gentlemen.....Will you please welcome back on stage....For a summer exclusive.......The one and only....Legend.....That is JACKONE... Woooooooooooooop Keep em coming Jackone...Much appriciated over at efestivals forums...
  15. Thanks again JACKONE... Sounds fine to me...Am I right in not being worried about these thunderstorms? If they do strike, are you thinking they would be heavy and dramatic but only for up to 10/ 15mins approx? Because if so, this won't do anything much and Glasto would be dry again in an hour or so..OR are we talking heavy for an hour plus..? Cheers again...
  16. So 1/5 for Wednesday-Friday 2/5 for weekend?........ Cheers Jackone, thanks always p.s when are you going to join us all on the farm!?
  17. Thanks JACKONE, it's been great to have your help once again..If you could give us a mark out of 5 like you used to that be great!!...Are we a 2, (1 being completely dry, 5 being a washout)?....
  18. I've seen a few weather sites predicting a drop in temp this weekend and some medium/ large amounts of snow forecast. The same week this time of year on prevous years has also produced this 'late dump'. Can anyone else give me any info on this? Cheers
