    Just seen this photo from Melton police on their facebook saying the A607 is now impassable with lorries and cars stuck. Meanwhile 20 miles up the road in Leicester we have rain

    No snow in Leicester but been for a drive to Copt Oak which has some elevation and some bits have got quite a bit there.

    Looks like we have another band inbound to Leicester in about 20 minutes!

    I’ve just gone for a drive currently at beacon hill and this is the only spot it’s settled currently

    Hoping for a shift to more north easterly winds so the showers make it more into our region

    Just had about half hour of on/off heavy snow in leicester, took a drive up some of the hills and it had settled but as soon as it stopped it melted nice to see though

    I’m so gutted, away from Leicester for Christmas with family and it looks like they got quite a bit there

    Are we expecting that heavier stuff a little to the north to move south later? Met office have my area down for light snow until 8am

    RainTodays radar gave me a fright for a second when it glitched out and put a massive gap heading this way
