Probably an inch or so of snow (3cm) here in Reigate now.
does anyone live near Bramley / wonersh? My wife has to head that way for work today? What are the conditions?
Hey, Plum. I am in Bramley. Roads are fine, bit slippery near Wonersh but roads are all clear. We have been right on the edge of any precip and have had maybe 5 flakes per minute for the last 3 days

We have snow grains here in the central west of the south West east southern tip of the low counties
I have had constant snizzile for about an hour now, nothing settling mind, freezing wind howling across the fields. Hopefully we can get something more substantial later.

We’re just up the road in Godalming, I have a feeling we will see something significant overnight and into the afternoon hours tomo
Would be really great if we did! Keeping everything crossed everyone in the region gets some.

I am normally very quiet, but is this a necessary comment? Is it helpful, encouraging or kind in any way shape or form? Sorry, but this kind of comment is uncalled for!

Anyone else thought of the potential disruption? During our last wet snow event on Sunday there was big problems with grit not being as effective due to the lower traffic on the roads. Imagine the same scenario but with powder snow continually accumulating and sub zero daytime temps.
The A281 was a complete nightmare between Guildford and Cranleigh! Potholes hidden under snow, lorries driving like loons, did not seem to have been gritted.

Ha we can be screw zone brothers!! and look jealously at everyone around us getting snow!
Ha.. can I join this club. Except I'm a sister. I just picture the radar returns like something out of the sci-fi series "Under the dome"

This is awesome! Quite big flakes now and the sky has gone pinky orange ???
Just had the heaviest snow shower here too. I thought it was going to be sleet or rain, seems elevation is helping us out. I wonder if that lot in the to the SW is headed this way.

Please stay safe everyone! Freezing rain is absolutely lethal. Hoping to get a bit more snow today (not holding my breath though), a last hoorah would be great before I start chasing the magic 20c?

That's crazy. Charlwood, Horley, Reigate and Redhill all now stopped. It' so localised.
Add Bramley to that list of localised nothingness?

Sky is starting to lighten up now and the radar is not showing much happening at the moment. Is this it for today?

Morning all, very light dusting here in Bramley but the wind is evil! Went to let the chooks out and the coop door was frozen shut.
@paget holding thumbs for us today. A bit disappointed when I saw met office had removed the snow for me for Friday.

I’ll be honest - so far this has been a proper non event for Surrey hills. Flurries - yes - but not disruptive snow by any stretch of the imagination. It’s all too hot and miss - I would call it a downgrade from what was suggested just a few days ago.
Still 3 days left but there seems to be a lot of quiet and dry periods when I was expecting there would be showers around. We are always just on the edges of warning zones it’s too frustrating!
woke up this morning to nothing!
seen a lot of clear sky today - really need it to get it’s act together soon! Was banking on at least one snow-day this week so I could catch up with some work on a side project... ?
(... and because I like snow ⛄️)
I am in Bramley (near Grafam) and I could literally see the showers on the radar split in two before heading north and south of me. Seeing the edges of the cloud base move right adjacent to my house had me shaking my fist at the sky.. lol. As for Thursday/Friday we seem to be to far East, as opposed to being to far west. Can't win!

Highly likely that will be an Amber soon. Also once we get closer I strongly suspect the warnings will get pushed westwards when there is higher confidence on any streamers exact tracks.
Thanks for your insight kold, I always seem to be just on the cusp of the action. Fingers crossed the showers reach me here near Guildford.
