Just got back from dropping the kids at school and it's now chucking it down. Have a feeling i'll be back at school in a few hours to pick them up.
Be surprised if it doesn't make the more northern areas of our region.
Trying to decipher from the model output discussion thread what might be happening in terms of snow potential next week for our region. The north and west has been mentioned as a good area for snow, but not sure if they are referring to the UK or England. Half term next week so would be great to see some lying snow again and dust off the sledge.
Just been looking at the net weather radar for the hours during the night and it shows showers passing over here between about 3:00am and 5:00am. Some must be making it over the higher ground?
Just had about 2 hours of really heavy showers, doesn't seem to be letting up. There must be well over a foot of snow on the ground now. Husband headed out to Tesco on foot to fight over the last carton of milk!
We've just had a nice flurry here, all surfaces covered, and sticking really well. Hubby just come back from St Helens (1 mile away)and said it's raining there, don't know if this is still the case.
Just watched the bbc weather forcast with Tomasz Schafernaker and he is forecasting snow for NWales and western parts of the NW on Sunday, lets hope is pushes in a bit more.
