  1. Yes and it looks like it is on its way to me next. We woke up to another good blanket of snow could be an inch or more. It is starting to look like the arctic here! Yesterday in the fields over the road from my house I measured 7 inches of snow and that was before the two good spells of snow that we had after dark. I will definitely have to get some pictures today as the scenery is breathtaking! Edit: The snow is here
  2. That is one heavy shower going on outside, with quite a few more to come looking on the radar
  3. It was the same when you had it yesterday afternoon craigers. I could see it over the fields but we did not get a drop here!!
  4. Just had blizzard conditions here for about 20 minutes in DN11 giving a good 1-2 cm. It is still snowing quite heavily now.
  5. Morning all, gained a few cms of snow last night. The showers in the North Sea look interesting and will hopefully hit us later, does anyone have a timescale on this? I reckoned about 12pm for Doncaster. Sun breaking through here but still -5.8c with a dewpoint of -8.1c.
  6. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/pws/invent/weathermap/ This looks good for friday
  7. Have just edited my post for an explanation, but I agree with what you are saying. Manchester had the coldest night since records began!
  8. I got -5.6 last night snowlover, which is cold enough for me . The temperature plummeted pretty quickly after sunset last night but rose again due to warmth from the North Sea. Those further inland would not have had this.
  9. Look North are forecasting snow for pretty much most of the day over a lot of the region - I wonder how accurate they will be?
  10. Yes, I can verify that Craigers, light snow starting here again in DN11.
  11. After nearly 8 hours of snow in DN11 we have 10 cm (4"). Outside temperature 0.6 C Dewpoint -1.2 C
  12. I am in South Doncaster, it has been snowing for an hour and things are really hotting up now. Cars are sliding everywhere and the snow is the thickest I have seen in a long time. We had no lying snow at all yesterday and these pictures were taken about 20 minutes ago. I will take some more pictures as things progress.
  13. Heavy snow with medium flakes here in South Doncaster for the last 20 minutes. Roads are covered again. Temperature -0.8C Dewpoint -2.1C
  14. Snowing in South Doncaster now . We have got a light covering so far - does anyone know if we will get anymore tonight or if it will last very long? At least the kids will be happy. Temp: -0.5 Dewpoint: -2.4 Wind: NNE at 6mph
