The latest NMM just out has still got a feature developing soon , however as @Neilsouthsays I agree I think we are seeing the end of this now . Would be elated if this was wrong. And this model hasn't been great today either .
we can still hope cant we

Disagree, sat image says otherwise as well as wind convergence has now shifted
There is nice big clouds still going on out near the estuary on the sat

Correct.. but I'm not sure how much longer the Thames estuary can keep producing as the deep cold uppers have passed through
I hear that but South End is still at dew point of minus 3 which is good for North London

It’s really hard to predict this stuff. The whole lot is surface generated from wind and water-air temp differential. Shame that the winds will shift more Eastward early evening or we could have had some serious accumulations in parts of the SE.
shifting eastwards will hit london though

Hold ya fire my people. I think things are beginning to change! Some of the ens are showing the possibility of colder blocking scenarios beyond day 10,and this is before a potentially big strat hit. It will perhaps become weaker over the days ahead and there are signs of it taking a bigger hit in the coming couple of weeks.
We could then be seeing some dream charts showing in the output before much longer..know guarantee I know but the odds will increase of wintry conditions proper. This could possibly be an mjo 7/8/1 and a pv collapse all at the same time. I must admit that excites me!. No change from Exeter also and that Ms a solid sign,as usually after a few days they downgrade it by either pushing it back or removing it all together. The signs are good folks.
Get drunk and have fun....thats an order from this rather sad chap...but I will get there in the end.
Live it large my lovelies.
My Mother died 1 week ago after a horrible battle with ALS so I feel your pain Mat but I agree with you. Lots to hope for in the charts and time to get drunk

how about north west London
-
Could a streamer set up in the Same way it did in 2009 that gave North West London a lot of snow but Southend it was rain
it looks like it might be able to set up as the winds are favourable direction for that
-
unbelievable 37c in North West London already
-
It's hit 37c in NW London now
-
We have hit 29c in North West London already wonder how it won't be the hottest spot

I'm going to be the Grinch and report that the latest Metoffice update has removed the mentioning of colder weather going into January and replaced it with an unsettled Atlantic dominance!
Anyway, have a great Christmas all and sod the weather!
right at the end of January so it could change

Here i am still searching for one more Winters blast before Spring proper arrives next month! What do the ens say? There is still some hope yet for one last Swan song...where is everyone! I feel like the world as been wiped out and I'm using a low frequency radio signal to reach out to some fellow coldies...my message is...there is still hope and salvation out there....follow the signal....it leads to cold
and do you think it will also come the Highlands lol
