Turning to snow in west london
- 3
-
My altitude is a hideous, floodworthy 18m ASL. And I'm in SW, London, what chance have I got ? Bring on the sleet - I've got a bucket ready to collect it in
My altitude couldnt really be any lower. 1m asl
-
Looks very wet across the south sun/mon on 12z gfs.
I would say that things are no clearer with exact positioning of the low. One thing for sure is that there will be plenty of precipitaion. Depending on where you live who knows what it will be. We might have a clue within 12 hours of the event !

Absolutely zippo here
-
Level snow of 15.5cm. We really did well from that late evening streamer.
Absolutely beautiful outside
-
Really snowing hard for the last hour

O.K, here are the depths from the match-ups in the first half of the draw, totals are in cms.
N.M.R. (No measurement registered), come on people put 4 layers on and get out there and have a measure up.
Chart Viewer, suggested that if a competitor doesnt register a depth at this half way stage, they should forfeit the tie!
I'm tempted but thats a bit harsh but if they DONT REGISTER A DEPTH BY 9 a.m MONDAY, (IF NO MORE SNOW IS FALLING IN THE REGION,I SUPPOSE I COULD EXTEND THAT TO NOON), THEY WILL FORFEIT THE TIE AND THEIR OPPONENT WILL MOVE INTO THE NEXT ROUND. (I'm not shouting really).
A comment on those scores above, I'd wished I'd had a bet the overs in total snow depth JEZZER v.LONDON SNOW.
To think they were matched randomly from Paul S's list, spooky eh.
I will post the scores on the doors in the 2nd half of the draw, in a wee while, too much to take in all at once.
If I've missed anybody's total let me know.
Cheers,
Tom

Just got to work in central London
Plan for the day is :
Wait until Sports direct opens
Buy sledge so the kids don't fight over the one we have
Go back home
Run around like a six year old
Pub

Very cold in London now. Temperature has dropped sharply 3 degrees according to my i-phone

The thing is people default and like the GFS simply because it is the most accesible and comes out 4 times a day, even though verification stats clearly point to the ECM being number 1By the way the GFS is currently in 4th place at +144 for accuracy, with ECM top, UKMO 2nd and GEM 3rd. I always think far too much weight is given to the GFS considering there are more accurate models available.
