I thought weather for the week ahead was on just before 12 .. they seem to keep changeing it. Have I missed it ?
Looks like I missed it too maybe someone has recorded it and will put it on you tube

Indeed I am in West Hunsbury. I must admit though the temp gauge I use is only a £50 jobby, nothing to flash or expensive. Temp now -0.3c
I am even closer to you in Blisworth and I am recording 3.2 so one of us is out surely.

Sod the slack flow, give me a gale force E,ly.
Very important Met O 6-15 day forecast coming up today. The reason I say this is we shall find out how many of those ensemble members opt for the HP over the UK bringing very cold surface temps or further N bringing a snowy E,ly. Lets hope its the latter and the forecast mentions heavy snow showers especially in E districts.
Hey Dave you best go check the warning Meto have just issued for Peterborough on Tuesday

Yep polystyrine balls falling outside now my dogs are covered in them.
-
Whoa a massive black cloud outside it's gone all dark.
-
I think it stands for "In my back yard"
lewis
That explains a lot.
Many thanks

Fresh warnings are out from the met office :smiliz46:

All you guys that are whining about not getting any snow should go and have a read of the model thread. That will cheer you up.
-
Here you go.
Thanks very much

Come on......................

What the hell is going on
My sensor is very close to the house so that might raise it a bit.
-
???
well i've got 2.8
And I got 3.3 in Blisworth.
-
Yes its very dodgy here at the moment. The roads are covered in around 3inches of sheet ice due to the snow compacting.
As for tonight if the precip does turn to snow then N Cambs/Leicestershire could see a dumping.
Dave any thoughts on Northampton for tonight. I have an outside party to attend tonight.

Just got in after driving from Bedford to Northampton. Not seen a flake as yet.
-
Met office have updated the warnings again.
-
Ditto.
Thats funny nothing in Blisworth.

Just saw Look East and it didn't look too promising for here with most of the precip to our south east. The snow was just scraping into Northants at about 7am.
Julie did say though there was some uncertainty as to how far north the snow would get so at least she did acknowledge that and it's not just us that are finding it a bit puzzling.
I was obviously watching a different channel to you Becky Mantin put us right in the firing line

Now snowing again in Northampton.
-
Now thats tricky to answer.
This is getting rather concerning. My snow started around 4am and within 1hr I have seen around 6cm. Now what is concerning is if you flick between the frames of the Met O radar near the wash you will see this hasn't really moved N at all and is remaining pretty much stationary.
I would prefer to see a few more frames before answering but heaven knows what the snowfall totals will be if this continues for another 3hrs!
The BBC are hinting it could last all day for the E Midlands!!
Thanks Dave still heavy here small flakes but lots of them. Can't see the A45 but can hear what sounds like trucks shunting back and forth. Would imagine a lot of chaos around the e midlands today.
-
Morning Dave woke at 4.30 and was really shocked at the amount that had fallen. about 4inch so far. How much longer do you see this lasting. Can't see myself going to work today. No traffic on the A45 (usually busy this time of day). Can't hear any trains either on the main London line.

What is that just to the NW of Northampton. Does it show up anywhere else?
