  1. Really quite windy and dry in North Bristol. Temps from http://www.martynhic...a.php?page=live

    temp 2.6C

    dp 1.2C

    Wind from due East

    Pressure 996.1mb

I am probs 15-20 metres above Martyn's weather station (which is in Filton) in Winterbourne.

I expect it will lash it down with rain any minute now.

a lot of sudden downdraughts here - i think the mix is going on up above

Takin its time isnt it ! I'm in hereford and expecting a flake any minute

  2. Totally loving all of this and learning all of the time. I would love to hear peoples comments on this - 6 /7 days ago we all wanted to fast forward the models to see if they would bring the potential that they suggested. I know that we're not there yet but if you new then what you know now what would your initial thoughts be ?

  3. Been watching this forum for days now. Can I ask a quick question ....

If we were back 3 / 4 days ago and we wished we could forward time a few days to see if the model came up to its potential. So here we are - would people be happy with the way things have turned out thus far not ?

  4. honestly I dont know,.............you know how fickle the Storms can be.......All I think is we have a decent chance tomorrow at some point...

I think on Sat24 there might be some more cells growing to the North of Bay of Biscay.....To early to tell. But to small blobs are growing

    Which infra red picks out.

Woooow !! Lets hope that they grow some and continue to follow their mates !!

  5. Hi folks. I look like I'm right in the middle of the predictions for tomorrow. Can someone help me with one thing though - the lightening detector never really links up with the radar. I no there could be some difference but today for example there seemed no rain in one area yet loads of lightening ? How could this be ??

  6. I must admit, I'm really not sure what to think....I've been looking at the models and studying the output thread all evening (the other half thinks I'm a sad git...lol)......some of the charts are rather contridictory....It looks a very complicated set-up, an occluded front moving down from the north, with fronts from an associated LP spinning up from the south west and then retreating back south eastwards, with milder air mixed in to the south east just to complicate things even further......The latest models are out shortly, but my brain is numb....Think I'll go back to the tried and tested formula on thursday night, ie looking out of the window!

Whats your gut feeling then ? If I'm right in thinking that here in Herefordshire we should be right in the fireing line
