Not clear skies by any stretch of the imagination...On the latest SAT24, the anvil shield from the cell near Calais has extended right into the SE of England with quite strong convection under it bubbling up...Not surprised to see some strikes detected :blink:

had a shower her but thats about it. went to the beach and had alook out to france and could see the lightning! PLEASE COME THIS WAY!
Was looking at the same thing myself but Metoffice satellite shows clear skies.and nw extra lightning detector has a few across the extreme coastline. :blink:

well thats over already , very elevated i think not very bright lightning and short bursts of thunder

good morning all. i woke to a rumble this morning (and no it asnt my wife haha) early hours but strangely never got up was to tired (cant belive i never had a look) so unsure how it developed.
i keep checking rain today and iow seems everything is over france wish it wouls slide my way a tad haha.

Some radars are showing some lightning over SE at the moment. Im looking at http://www.severe-weather.co.uk/ which has various radars.
where i am its clouding over and the wind seems to of picked up abit.

Hi all been quite here for a lil while anyone got any views? by the looks of the radar it seems showers on and off all night for my neck of the woods. up for another hour so hopefully see something or a nice fresh dusting in the morning.
